It has everything to do with it. People are able to plead guilty (and be convicted) even when concerning irregularities exist. If there are concerning irregularities, the fact Flynn plead guilty does not dismiss that like the linked tweet suggests.

The latest minute orders from Judge Emmet G. Sullivan, who is overseeing Michael Flynn's case, just ordered the original Strzok/Pientka memos on the Flynn interview and the official FBI 302, filed 7 months later, to be filed with the court.
 
Not Donald Trump has once again ghostwritten a defense with Trump's twitter account. Don't these guys get it that Trump voters don't care about anything that resembles a logical coherent legal defense and simply want to hear him cry about THE RIGGED WITCHHUNT PURSUED BY 13 ANGRY DEMOCRATS!!!!!!!!!! BAD!!!

Why should I believe your conspiracy theory if Flynn doesn't?

....guilty even on a civil basis. Those charges were just agreed to by him in order to embarrass the president and get a much reduced prison sentence, which he did-including the fact that his family was temporarily let off the hook. As a lawyer, Michael has great liability to me!

My conspiracy theory? Oh dear, I am simply reporting on the facts regarding Judge Emmet G. Sullivan's "sua sponte" order asking to see the memo following the interview AND the 302's from August.

Do you think Judge Sullivan is interested in a conspiracy theory? Well then: make your case!

By the way, I predict that the government will ask to have those sealed AND Flynn's lawyers will go along AND that will not raise even the slightest bit of concern from the regressives.

It's a little early to draw conclusions on what the judge is doing. I remember you getting all excited in the manafort trial when the judge asked for the scope memo.

Then perhaps you should direct your opinions to the hoi polloi declaring that it is the conspiracy theory?

/by the way, we know that there was a conspiracy between Page, her paramour Strzok and McCabe whereby McCabe used Page as a cut through to get information directly from Strzok in violation of the standard chain of command. Did it have anything to do with this fiasco? lets hope Judge Sullivan is getting to the bottom of it.

I didn't say anything about a conspiracy theory. I'm saying if your excitement over this judge request is like your excitement when the judge in the manafort trial questioned if it was in the scope of Mueller's investigation, you may be disappointed.

Exactly. That's what I noted a while ago. Guilty people often do that. They deny doing it but also add the caveat that, if they didn, it isn't wrong. You can usually infer from that that yes, they did it, otherwise they wouldn't need a backup excuse; and yes, it was wrong, otherwise they wouldn't deny it in the first place.

Say, here is something to think about. Mueller's "pitbull" is a guy named Andrew Weissmann.

Who is he?

He is the guy who ordered draft 302's destroyed in the Enron investigation... hmmmm....

That is bad news for team Trump. Despite what you see as a big issue, two of those Enron guys got lengthy prison sentences to the point where those documents being destroyed didn't matter.
 
I guess the defense of Flynn that we're hearing now is that Flynn didn't actually lie, he merely lied when he said that he lied. Do I have it right?
