Why wouldn't the republicans want Trump impeached?

Wouldn't Pence be far more competent in getting their agenda passed through with far less headaches for them? Feels like it would be a win/win for them?

Because of the Trump cultists who dominate the GOP.

Impeaching the president of your party doesn't look good for your party. It doesn't look good to independents (who wonder how your party elected such a scoundrel) and it doesn't look good to the president's loyal base (who think the party is full of disloyal turncoats).

Inconsistency ain't lying, but it was a perfectly set up perjury trap by an FBI full of fanatic never-Trumpers who all had one foot out the door because of their own unseemly and illegal conduct.

"Ask which sounds more likely: That a highly decorated military officer invited FBI officials to his office (with no legal counsel) in order to tell bold-faced lies? Or, as initially reported, he just forgot details of conversation?"

-K. Strassel.

Stop reaching, Dog. Otherwise you'd have to admit that Hillary was forced to lie about deleting e-mails, and that'd be hillarious.

AMI told the court that “there was nothing sinister” about their actions and refused to concede that their so-called “editorial decisions” were “animated by a desire to support the candidacy of Donald Trump.”

Golly, were they lying then or are they lying now?

"Sure, your honor, I broke the law, but it wasn't for anything sinister."

That's the great paradox with Trump...No one with any credibility ever gets close enough to the man to be a witness to his crimes.

A pretty good strategy, wot? Surround yourself with liars, grifters and general scumbags, so that when they squeal you can rightfully impugn their character.

Of course, the question then becomes, "Why does one need or want to associate with liars, grifters and general scumbags?"

The answer is "because liars, grifters, and general scumbags are the best people".
