We are either going to have a REAL DEAL with China, or no deal at all - at which point we will be charging major Tariffs against Chinese product being shipped into the United States. Ultimately, I believe, we will be making a deal - either now or into the future....

.....China does not want Tariffs!

Oh, I know that the Kingdom is not nearly as big a supplier of oil as it once was.
But I think US support for Saudi stated when it was a major supplier to the West, and just sort of continued. No doubt US support now is because it sees Saudi as a counterforce to Iran. IMHO not a lot, ethically to chose between them.

Well not a lot that wins in favor of the saudis. For the past 30 years or so I could see Iran being a better choice. They are more democratic after all.

I see Rudy Giuliani is still tweeting a link to a site that says, “Donald Trump is a traitor to our country”.

I don’t know which is more hilarious; that he still has the tweet up or his angry rant that someone “invaded” his Twitter.

This is the guy that Trump named as his “cybersecurity advisor”.

Twitter source that I didn't click said:
Donald Trump now owns 10 of the Dow’s top 20 worst single-day declines in stock market history...
Measuring the market this way, as opposed to % decline, is misleading.

Indeed. The Dow is growing as a... thing. Any changes are going to be bigger.

He set the rules.

Umm... they just lost one of the members of the Bush family. Do you really think its time to be conducting tours of christmas decorations?

In all sincerity, I think it's okay. That's part of the public spirit of the Bush family. It's an appropriate way to respect HW's legacy.

Meh, if the spaghetti sticks to the wall, go with it
That's a different matter. In normal times, I would object to this. Nothing that's happening now is vaguely normal.

Either way, we're posting in a sleepy backwater, and I think it's a good idea to distinguish fact from fiction.

One of the very exciting things to come out of my meeting with President Xi of China is his promise to me to criminalize the sale of deadly Fentanyl coming into the United States. It will now be considered a “controlled substance.” This could be a game changer on what is.......

....considered to be the worst and most dangerous, addictive and deadly substance of them all. Last year over 77,000 people died from Fentanyl. If China cracks down on this “horror drug,” using the Death Penalty for distributors and pushers, the results will be incredible!

“China officially echoed President Donald Trump’s optimism over bilateral trade talks. Chinese officials have begun preparing to restart imports of U.S. Soybeans & Liquified Natural Gas, the first sign confirming the claims of President Donald Trump and the White House that......

.....China had agreed to start “immediately” buying U.S. products.”

Very strong signals being sent by China once they returned home from their long trip, including stops, from Argentina. Not to sound naive or anything, but I believe President Xi meant every word of what he said at our long and hopefully historic meeting. ALL subjects discussed!

Looking forward to being with the Bush family. This is not a funeral, this is a day of celebration for a great man who has led a long and distinguished life. He will be missed!

President Trump, star athlete:
President Trump traversed a wide political chasm Tuesday evening when he personally welcomed George W. Bush, his occasional foil, to Blair House, the presidential guest quarters across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House.

But the actual distance was just 250 yards — a route Trump and his wife Melania traveled in the presidential parade limousine, with a motorcade of at least seven other vehicles.

Most presidents would walk across the street. Obama routinely walked down Pennsylvania Avenue to Starbucks, and Clinton used to walk a couple blocks to McDonald's.
