Why is it business-as-usual that the President gets to call the Election rigged, declaring massive voter fraud, and no one bats an eye?
How have we gotten to a stage when we offhandedly dismiss the claims of direct attacks on our Democracy because they come from a known conspiracy nut who just happens to be the Commander-in-Chief?
How is it not a Constitutional Crisis when the rational thing to do is to disregard what the sitting president says?

Yes.

I don't see how it would be a constitutional crisis. There is no constitutional rule about a politician running their mouth.

A situation you can middle through is not a crisis.

And there's no costitutional rule about POTUS squatting atop the Resolute desk and pinching out a loaf, either. We can middle through that, too.

Is Trump actually treating veterans any worse than every other president ever?

No. The VA has been a rolling dumpster fire for a good while now, the only thing any politicians has ever cared about in regards to veterans is their ability to be used as a talking point, and for all the "President Bonespurs" jokes it's not like military service has really been a big part of any President's background for a while now.

Trump Tweets

"It is our sacred duty to support America’s Service Members every single day they wear the uniform – and every day after when they return home as Veterans. Together we will HONOR those who defend us, we will CHERISH those who protect us, and we will celebrate the amazing heroes..."
Unless it's raining of course.

In his defense it is possible rain would either dissolve Trump like the Wicked Witch of the West or make him multiply like Gremlins.

I've really enjoyed reading about his temper tantrums and his brooding since returning from Paris. His outbursts on Twitter betray some real, first-class suffering going on. Now, his wife has made him look whipped. His suffering is so beautiful. The reports that he's gaining weight and his health is deteriorating just make my heart sing.
It's delicious, isn't it? And this before the Democratic Party takes control of all those House committees. There'll be no Merry Xmas in the White House this year.

I'd be surprised if Trump hasn't claimed to have already done more for veterans than any other president.

Oh, but he has:
“I’ve done more for the vets than any President has done, certainly in many, many decades, with Choice and with other things, as you know. …If you look at Choice — Choice alone — I mean, just take a look at what we’ve done with Choice.”
(Nov, 2018)

Trump has just declared that "there are more people working in the United States right now, at this moment, than have ever worked before."

There are also more people in the US than ever before. But don't let that stop ya, Donnie.

ETA: OMG...he's on again right now bragging about how he won the election easily, citing the electoral college votes and claiming what a wonderful campaign he ran vs. Clinton. He also claimed he wrote his written answers to Mueller's question, not his lawyers. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight, Donnie. Sure ya did.

I spent the better part of 15 years here trying to explain to various conspiracy theorists that the promotion of their ideas was a danger to the health of western democracies, because democracy ultimately relies on trust between the members of society. If enough people decide that "It's all rigged" or some such thing, then democracy will simply stop working, regardless of whether or not it actually is rigged.

Lately I've been thinking we're at the point where we just have to let the idiots screw everything up, so that they can see how badly they've screwed things up. Warning them about it hasn't worked so far, and I can't see any reason why further warnings will work any better.

I may be wrong about that, and the recent US election gives me some small spark of hope, but it flickers fitfully under the smothering weight of cynicism.

"for"; "to"; it's an easy typo to make.
