Gillum plays the race card:
"The goal is obviously to use my candidacy as a way to reinforce, frankly, stereotypes about black men.”

-- Andrew Gillum (Oct 29, 2018)

The Dimms are a one trick pony.

What's wrong with pointing out that a bigot is a bigot? Trump made the claim when he knew or should have known he was vulnerable to the racism charge.

You do realise that an idiot making a bomb and making a mistake in the construction without understanding that mistake, can easily repeat it 14 times thinking that they were doing it correctly?
Sure, that might well be what happened. I totally agree.

I would've tested the construction before deploying it, and I'm thinking you could do so in south Florida, but he was addleheaded to begin with.

Totally not being BtC here, since evidence will convince me. Only saying that I'll wait and see before I conclude he's a failed assassin and not "merely" a terrorist.

Trump claims

"CNN and others in the Fake News Business keep purposely and inaccurately reporting that I said the “Media is the Enemy of the People.” Wrong! I said that the “Fake News (Media) is the Enemy of the People,” a very big difference. When you give out false information - not good!"

"Check out tweets from last two days. I refer to Fake News Media when mentioning Enemy of the People - but dishonest reporters use only the word “Media.” The people of our Great Country are angry and disillusioned at receiving so much Fake News. They get it, and fully understand!"

Not in any deep or interesting sense.

This is a man who says outright that Mexico is "sending" rapists, that Soros is funding a caravan that has been infiltrated by "middle Easterners". You think we learn anything deep or interesting about him based on how he treats an umbrella?

Silliness.

You don't have to be interested, but personally I find the casual disregard with which he dumps it, apparently unable to close it and hand it off to an aide, or even to angle it through the door and leave it inside the door for someone else to deal with, quite revealing. Maybe it's just confirmation of what we all knew anyway but it was a clear demonstration of the arrogance of a man to whom everything is disposable.

Fine. When the caravan crosses, they can immediately claim asylum when the soldiers appear. No fuss, no muss.

If it were my[1] plane, I'd prefer that wet umbrellas were left outside either to be sheathed in a bag or left behind and replaced with a dry umbrella on the other end of the flight, if needed.

But you and I don't know how these minor operations go, so no point speculating. Possible he was being a dick, possible he was following perhaps new protocols. Who knows?

[1] referring to the crew, not Trump.

So says the #1 purveyor of false information in the US today.
Hisjtorians are going to spend a lot of time discussing how a man so totally unfit in every way possible got elected President of the United States.

I suspect somebody got ahold a of contingency plan if you had a civil war in Mexico and the violence was threanting to spread into the US.
Which, given the state of Mexican politics is not an impossibility but poses no immediate threat.

I suspect it's a BS political ploy.

Ha ha! Ha ha. That is a fine way to advance the conversation as well as a darned funny joke, which works on so many levels.

You really should write more of your own words. They have an insight that is missing from most of the folk you quote.

You must be one of those good Christians types? The poster hasn't had an original thought in his entire posting history. That's borrowed, just not credited.

It's a desperation political ploy. There are now going to be more army, reservists, national guard, ICE, CBP, local cop shop participants than demonstrators. And there are no reports that anyone in the caravan is armed.

Show of force because they're worried that one reactionary in Sheepdip, WY is going to not turn out? Who are they playing to and spending all the American taxpayer's money to impress? They're trying to create a media moment in time for election day and the caravan isn't close enough to the border, so they keep revising troop estimates to keep it in the news.

No, can't be true. No one would seriously steal such a lame line.

Gotta be his.

Not that I would trust Trump to tell the truth if his life depended on it, but looking up the Law in Florida, accepting a ticket isn't a crime anyways, unless it is explicitly a quid pro quo situation, and there seems to be no evidence that Gillum did anything in return for the tickets so there seems to be no illegality in accepting the gift. Added that that, accepting the tickets would not be theft anyway, you simply can't steal something that was given to you.

No one who has examined the bombs have said much. They are dangerous explosive devices. The government has said nothing more than that.

Some have said there was no trigger. I put no faith in the words of someone who hasn't examined them.

I'd just as soon wait for more information. Whoever sent them is certainly guilty of terrible crimes and I expect that man is Sayoc. But I won't call him guilty of crimes that haven't even been filed yet.

It may be worth noting that that Soros bomb was detonated by the bomb squad. That one may not have gone through the mail, but gives reason to strongly suspect that the others were live. There was also reporting that said that at least some of the mail one were live, rather than duds.

The Dimms are a one trick pony.

Hardly. Still, if it's the truth, it's the truth. There's been quite a bit of overt racism coming from the Republican side, and it would be no surprise at all if this was more along those lines. Not everything that's called racism is necessarily racism, of course, but there's quite a bit that's called racist that actually is racist. There are plenty of other issues that are pointed out by Democrats regarding Republican leaders, though, which makes your "one trick pony" jab hilariously idiotic.
