Ed George Soros and others targetted by Terrorist

The subforum being about USA Politics doesn't necessarily mean it's for Americans in American English language, any more than the Non-USA & General Politics subforum is supposed to be written in non-American languages.

But thanks for reminding us that your president preferred Stalin over Churchill. It's just more evidence that the USA doesn't always do the right thing.

Oh no, he preferred Churchill! FDR was nothing if not loyal to his lackeys, which is why he assigned him the task of mixing his drinks.

Now lets get back to the false flag subject, what what?

It appears we're in the phase of conservative denial where everyone's scrambling to come up with a narrative where conservatives come out as the good guys in a scenario where they most certainly aren't. I predict this phase will last for one to three days, after which we'll once again be regaled by our resident Trumpists all spewing this new narrative.

The "Liberal plant" scenario is right now being banded about on social media. Let's see if they stick to that.

Count me out. As a Dane I wouldn't really have a stake in that debate. I was taught (a kind of) British English in school, but I'm fine with all the corrections from British to American spelling that happen automatically in this forum. However, the spell checker probably can't tell the difference between ones and one's.

Seth Abramson fanatic does not understand the difference between a typographical error and misspelling the name of one’s own State, spells "capitalize" wrong. 120 part twitter thread at 12.

That's how you spell it in English. It may be different in the colonies.

Looks around, realises we are in USA forum, grins.

No one has cared about British spellings since before Churchill was reduced to mixing FDR’s martinis at Yalta.

LOL

'mkay

See how easy it is to learn TBD spelling....

ps. FTFY.

They'd probably do better by claiming that the Deep State FBI picked Sayoc as a patsy because of his van and history, and they just faked the fingerprint and DNA evidence. You can support any conspiracy theory by making it sufficiently large and powerful.

We'll probably also hear a lot about "fake bombs" on places like Fox and Breitbart. I mean, it's easily proven that they weren't fake, but it's all about playing to the dumb base.

What was actually happening on Fox News was much funnier than that:

If you're going to say that some links make your point, you may wish to summarize or quote them on the forum for the rest of us. Perhaps I'm the only one, but I'm not opening up Twitter to see what those links are saying.

It's two conservative commentators spreading a conspiracy theory about this being a "false flag", along with a Ben Garrison cartoon spreading the same conspiracy theory.

From my Facebook feed:

Kevin:
But Bernie wasn’t to blame when his supporter showed up to a ball field and shot people?
Got it.

********** hypocrites.

Paul:
Seeing as how Bernie's campaign used messaging like "Love Trumps hate" and Trump incited violence at his own rallies and uses inflammatory violent language, I would have to say that comparing the two makes you a ********** idiot.

Right-wing cuck David French has a surprisingly sensible post about Sayoc, drawing a distinction between a "crazy" person completely disconnected from reality, and people who are morally and legally responsible for their own actions:

The angry obsessive is absolutely vulnerable to being stoked, inflamed, and inspired by angry rhetoric. Speech can inspire violence. It can. It’s one reason why civility and a sense of proportion in your speech aren’t just abstract, sanctimonious, or elitist concepts. They’re moral responsibilities for people with any kind of meaningful platform. Not all listening ears are sober-minded or entirely rational. And when they hear a public figure they admire thunder against his political opponents with extreme language, sometimes they’ll take extreme action in response.

Then he adds this line:
After the attempted assassination of Steve Scalise and more than a dozen other GOP elected officials, I wrote this:

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Assassination??

The authorities are presenting a lot of dissembling and shifting around to avoid saying this nut-job's packages were bombs. Any real skeptic would be questioning why they are doing that.

Nah...it's more like a Trump fan still clinging to the hope the bombs weren't real keeping the 'Sayoc must really be a Dem operative' dream alive.
