Make American Spelling Great Again!
You guys are about to get a debate warning card from JoeMorgue for reducing even spelling to two sides.
Make American Spelling Great Again!
The subforum being about USA Politics doesn't necessarily mean it's for Americans in American English language, any more than the Non-USA & General Politics subforum is supposed to be written in non-American languages.
But thanks for reminding us that your president preferred Stalin over Churchill. It's just more evidence that the USA doesn't always do the right thing.

Seth Abramson fanatic does not understand the difference between a typographical error and misspelling the name of one’s own State, spells "capitalize" wrong. 120 part twitter thread at 12.
That's how you spell it in English. It may be different in the colonies.
Looks around, realises we are in USA forum, grins.
No one has cared about British spellings since before Churchill was reduced to mixing FDR’s martinis at Yalta.
It appears we're in the phase of conservative denial where everyone's scrambling to come up with a narrative where conservatives come out as the good guys in a scenario where they most certainly aren't. I predict this phase will last for one to three days, after which we'll once again be regaled by our resident Trumpists all spewing this new narrative.
The "Liberal plant" scenario is right now being banded about on social media. Let's see if they stick to that.
That is how the British spell it! Man sniffs while complaining about xenophobia.
Chortles.
They'd probably do better by claiming that the Deep State FBI picked Sayoc as a patsy because of his van and history, and they just faked the fingerprint and DNA evidence. You can support any conspiracy theory by making it sufficiently large and powerful.
Now lets get back to thefalse flagsubject, what what?
We'll probably also hear a lot about "fake bombs" on places like Fox and Breitbart. I mean, it's easily proven that they weren't fake, but it's all about playing to the dumb base.
If you're going to say that some links make your point, you may wish to summarize or quote them on the forum for the rest of us. Perhaps I'm the only one, but I'm not opening up Twitter to see what those links are saying. It would seem it went as I predicted. https://twitter.com/mitchellvii/status/1055872714836246529

As well as what Rush Limbaugh said.

Probably from the Qanon/pizzagate end of spectrum.
The angry obsessive is absolutely vulnerable to being stoked, inflamed, and inspired by angry rhetoric. Speech can inspire violence. It can. It’s one reason why civility and a sense of proportion in your speech aren’t just abstract, sanctimonious, or elitist concepts. They’re moral responsibilities for people with any kind of meaningful platform. Not all listening ears are sober-minded or entirely rational. And when they hear a public figure they admire thunder against his political opponents with extreme language, sometimes they’ll take extreme action in response.
After the attempted assassination of Steve Scalise and more than a dozen other GOP elected officials, I wrote this:
So, typical Trump supporter basically.
Okay guys we don't need another thread that's nothing but a standup routine / game of who can call Trump supporters the most stupid.
The authorities are presenting a lot of dissembling and shifting around to avoid saying this nut-job's packages were bombs. Any real skeptic would be questioning why they are doing that.
