So in order to show that Warren fraudulantly benefited from her claims of Native American ancestry, they point to her inclusion in a "Native American" cookbook put together by .... her cousin?

How does her cousin editing a NA cookbook prove that she is lying about her NA ancestry?
 
It's not just manufactured outrage, it's a manufactured attempt to hoist the Democrats up by their own "Cultural Appropriation Outrage" Petard.

1. The Left gets mad when people appropriate other peoples' cultures.
2. Elizabeth Warren appropriated someone's culture.
3. Therefore Elizabeth Warren is a hypocrite.
4. Therefore all Leftists are hypocrites because of Borg Collective.
5. Therefore the Left is wrong.
6. Therefore the Right is correct (and suddenly cares about minorities and cultural purity.)

That's so obvious it's not even subtext and I'm fully on record as pointing and laughing at Step 1.

It's been quite effective at bringing out some of the forum's racists. That's a nice easy way to find out who has absolutely nothing of value to contribute.

Fact: She already HAD that position at Harvard before she was asked about any possible minority status. Out of the remaining 31 people who were involved in hiring her, 30 have said that her minority status was never discussed, the remaining one said he didn't remember one way or the other.

Lie #3. Warren used her claimed NA ancestry to make personal gain and to advance her career.

Fact: There is zero evidence that this has ever happened. Warren advanced her own career through her own hard work, and through her care for others.

The bringing up of a description in a Families recipe book from over 30 years ago is an act of pure desperation, a dredging of the depths of the mire that passes for the average Trump Sycophant's mind, to find something, anything they can exaggerate, mischaracterize and misrepresent to attack her.

Its worth noting that before the mid-1990s, i.e. the time at which she "ticked the boxes", Warren was a registered Republican.

Isn't it amazing how this works? Day in and day out Trump lies, cheats and defrauds for personal gain. And here Warren has worked hard to keep our capitalist system fair and not just a system that preys on people and this is what those Republicans and Trump supporters use to go after Warren?

They must really be desperate. They must be pathetic to feel this is worthy of their attention. Just imagine what goes on in those Republican strategy meetings if this is what they had to stoop to.

Trump is being sued for charities fraud. He is being sued for violating the Emoluments clause. He is likely to be sued for massive tax fraud. He has been paying off women for their silence, his own wife says he raped her. He perjured himself many times in court. He was cited for racial discrimination in real estate rentals. He appears to have sold himself to the Russians and now the Saudis.

And their strategy for going after Warren is 3 checked boxes about her heritage in the late 1980s ?

And here we see their foot soldiers attempting that pathetic strategy. Me, I'd be embarrassed to even mention it.

Listen I can't even begin to figure out how anyone "Jumping sides" is going to conceptualized as anything but raw traitorism by anyone dug into the tribes.

I'm sure the argument will be some variation of she was a RINO or something.
 
This thread still spinning around like a wobbly Ferris wheel days later? Bet the usual suspects come back every now and then to give it another push along using provocation and get a fevered response. And they laugh while they do it because they don't mean anything they say. It's just provocation for provocation's sake.

This is the US Politics forum. While you and Belz are getting Independents United organized and finding candidates that more than two of you can support, either the Republican Tribe or the Democratic Tribe will be running the country. I have kids who have kids who will hopefully have kids, so I care very much which one it is. GRRRR yourself.

What the hell does that mean? Did Elizabeth dress up in a buckskin leather dress, moccasins, a feather in her hair and dance around a fire? I don't think so. She checked two boxes about her heritage Caucasian and Native American after she was hired. And to her knowledge this is factual and not a single person can prove otherwise.

It just blows me away the absurd logic pretzel they have twisted to try and demonize Elizabeth Warren. If this is the sum total of the dirt they have on Senator Warren, they are ******* lost. Warren appears incredibly squeaky clean if they are hanging there hat on this nonsense.

They keep calling Warren a liar and a fraud over this. And I keep thinking 'get serious' and 'don't make me laugh'. You might as well be saying Elizabeth Warren is a bad person because she forgot to send a card along with the present she sent.

And still, not a one of these Trump supporters in the thread has explained why this is important and Trump's lies aren't?

I can't help believing that it is because she is a Democrat and they see her as a threat. It certainly cannot be because they now care about honesty. Hell, they might as well say that Republicans care about deficit spending.
