Oh no! Mills has much better competition
A working Arc reactor!!!!* whats more it arcs energy for much longer than the many femtoseconds BLPs device manages before it burns itself out.

https://youtu.be/pxf7YkF0iN0

He built it in his workshop with a BOX OF SCRAPS!!!**

*It's a reactor in that it reacts to being turned on.
** A box scraps from a certain point of view

Nice but voltage is too high.

Something like this homemade miniature arc furnace is closer:

The Society for Classical Physics Yahoo group appears to have been closed. That was a place for the discussion of fantasy physics, such as cold fusion.

Mills occasionally responded to questions there. I wonder if he posts anywhere else.

Worth noting that it was not just closed, but also deleted by Mills. I wonder if this is laying the groundwork for another fringe reset? It wouldn't be the first time Mills has deleted evidence of claims, although I imagine it'll be increasingly harder to do in the internet age.

Assuming the account of the last investors’ meeting was accurate then Mills is currently dealing with multiple investors who want to cash out. Unless he manages to get the shares listed on a secondary market his only remaining option for dealing with those investors is to bring in more money. Shutting down the BS riddled fan forum Mills has been running would be a necessary step in seeking out new investors, especially in a post-Theranos investment market. A company with a 30 year track record of failure is not an enticing investment prospect.

I think he’s either preparing to retire from the scam or gearing up for another fringe reset and investment round.

Sounds like we will either get another reset, or a bail.

I'm betting on a reset and a continuation.

After all, it has worked well for 30 years.

He's never had to produce anything useful, he's always managed to get uncritical news reports out there, and he's brought in lots of money.

Excellent find. That's both a really cool video and a great example of the kind of tech Mills appears to be using to create his videos.

High current is the ticket for an arc furnace. Note that oxygen is not required for it to work. That video of the mini arc furnace used about 2kW of continuous power.

In the days when Mills was running molten silver between tungsten electrodes he was using about 8kW of continuous power.

But note : The miniature arc furnace was small and insulated and was only melting zinc (in a matter of seconds) which has a low melting point.

In contrast, Mills device was not only melting but *vapourizing* the liquid silver and the solid tungsten electrodes, not to mention the actively cooled molybdenum sleeve surrounding it - in a matter of seconds.

(See https://brilliantlightpower.com/plasma-video/ and scroll down to the July 2016 timeframe for video and pics and some description.)

With 8kW power input, the estimated power output was on the order of about 500kW. Plasma temperature was 11000 F. (Also, it was 99 percent UV before being blackbodied by the vaporized silver.) And need I remind: no such power output without hydrogen and trace amount of special oxide. So this goes far beyond a mere arc furnace. Electrical engineers who witnessed the SunCell demonstration in July of 2016 at Columbia Tech and who are presumably familiar with arc furnaces said they have never seen such power density.

These days Mills is working at much lower power densities in order to keep the apparatus intact over long time frames.

No reset. The SunCell is here to stay. Why? Because it has attained the high and sustained power densities required to go commercial.

It's a shame the Yahoo Group was deleted and not just closed. Most members received emails and would have kept messages from Mills they deemed important.

The historical video timeline of progress of the SunCell from early 2014 to present remains intact as recorded on BLP's Youtube channel. Mills himself has replied to some comments in some of those videos, but I've noticed he has not done so for many months now afaik.

I assume that this is what the bid to launch a cryptocurrency is all about.

Is a full second a long time frame now?

Apparently so.

One wonders HOW Mills could have promised to be mere months form production runs and to have had reactors running stably for months on end with extant problems like this.

Yes, and supporters/believers should have to address that, yet they don't.

Markie is allowed to basically ignore those claims, but I don't know what to do about that.

It's unfair in a discussion/debate, imo.

The typical response I've seen have been twofold:

1. They claim that tech wasn't commercially viable.

2. Phrases such as, "That was a previous device. It has nothing to do with the SunCell!"
