No, actually, you get the steel at the same price you were paying before Trump started mucking about. This only looks like a good deal to the people who think it's a "sale" when the furniture store raises their prices on Monday, then drops them back again on Friday for a "Tent Sale".

And what's to stop the Koreans form raising their prices 12.5%, which still lets them undercut everyone else who's stuck with the 25% tariff? If I was a Korean Steel Magnate, that's absolutely what I would be doing. And some idiots in the US would be thinking that they're getting a deal, 12.5% cheaper than that Chinese Steel! WooT!

Your post didn't establish what time periods we we're comparing. I was using immediately before the signing, not before tariffs were implemented in the first place.

I think it's obvious that what you just quoted was in response to you comparing to just before the signing.

UN audience laughs when Trump boasts of achievements.

Audience members then began chuckling and the laughs grew louder when Trump said "so true."

Angry tweets ahoy!

The president touted his domestic efforts, including tax cuts and his push to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, before addressing his foreign policy goals.

He's boasting about the Mexico wall as a success? Did I miss it actually being built? Or even funded?

Clearly Korean Steel is important to our national defense and so needs subsidies in this fashion.

It's probably too early for anyone to have properly fact checked it yet, but I suspect that his claim to have added $10 trillion in wealth to the US is untrue.

I hate Trump's "we" stuff. I am not all in this together with any of you on this forum just because of a border.

Oh my GOD. That is so delicious. He's laughed out of the room by actual leaders and diplomats. Utterly embarrassed by the one audience he can't woo. Oh, the laughter seemed to hurt him so much. That is so satisfying to watch.
