Bad news for Rosenstein:
"The deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, suggested last year that he secretly record President Trump in the White House to expose the chaos consuming the administration, and he discussed recruiting cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Mr. Trump from office for being unfit."
Linky.

It's a safe bet that Rosenstein will be unemployed very soon. Another one bites the dust.

I suddenly have the image of Trump with a Hannity symbiote latched onto his neck, like in Babylon 5.
It would certainly make the nightly "pillow talk" sessions more convenient. [emoji14]

eta: I hope Sean has unlimited minutes on his phone plan. :D

Bad news for Rosenstein:

Washington Post has story with more sources and background suggesting Rosenstein's comment was sarcastic and not meant literally.

However it raises the question which source of Fake News Trump will believe.;)

Trump Tweets

"MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

"Thank you Las Vegas, Nevada - I love you! #MAGA"

"AMERICA IS WINNING AGAIN!"

Trump's warm-up act in Vegas was Wayne Allen Root, a whackadoodle. For bonus points, Root's wife has a PhD in homeopathy according to wikipedia. So many good jokes there, so little time.

Where’s the Vegas shooter when he’s needed.
This is so not ok. Please don't do this here.

Who the hell gives a PhD in that?
And for the love of god... can we get a look at her thesis? :D

@GOP
“We’re fighting every day for our factories, our ranchers, our great miners, our farmers, and we are now the largest producer of energy in the entire world.” -@realDonaldTrump

Great job tonight by President @realDonaldTrump in Las Vegas laying out how strong America has become economically and how much safer we are with a strong military.

@MikeTokes
We are outside the Trump rally in Las Vegas. There are THOUSANDS of conservatives here and the line extends all the way around the block.
Everyone loves Trump!

@MikeTokes
What an amazing Trump rally in Las Vegas, Nevada. There must have been over 10,000 people here and trust me when I say it, we are all ready to VOTE in November!

@RamonaGiwargis
The crowd roars as @realDonaldTrump takes the stage. Says he’s thrilled to be back in Ne-vah-da. “You have to say that just right,” he jokes. Says the state is home to hardworking people who respect the flag. – at North Hall LVCC

Actually, it was Bush in 2005 who brought Rosenstein on-board. But Trump should have known that any holdovers would pose a problem. Look for a slew of new faces immediately after the midterms.

Bush made him US Attorney for the Maryland District. Making him Deputy Attorney General was all Trump. He even refused to accept his resignation.

Quite a dilemma, isn't it?

This is supposed to have happened "last year", so one naturally wonders why's it coming out now.

Trump tweets

"I will Chair the United Nations Security Council meeting on Iran next week!"

Why would he want to do that? This is the UN. Why would the president want to engage in open debate with real, highly educated, well traveled, urbane diplomats? They are going to eat his intellectual lunch. There is no possible upside for him on this. Thnk of all the jabs the Russian ambassador will get in. This would be funny if it weren't going to be humiliating for the country.

Your country's humiliation is already complete in the eyes of the rest of the world. This would just be piling it on.

Then you shouldn't have any objections when Rosenstein is fired and replaced by a Trump loyalist. All's well that ends well, as the saying goes.
