Atheists destroy churches, attack the faithful

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. ...”

Ah, so the answer was right there in scripture all along. The Chinese Christians and Muslims who are being persecuted must be doing wrong, or else they would be receiving the approval of the God-appointed authorities who govern them, who are God's servants for their good.

So, what is your complaint? Do you want Western atheists to fight God for you, in order to rescue people who have clearly incurred God's wrath? Shouldn't you instead be telling those persecuted Chinese Christians and Muslims to do what is good and be in subjection, so that they can receive the approval of the government that God has instituted there?

Hey! Someone else who actually could not be bothered to actually read the actual article linked in the actual post that they actually quoted.

Holy cats, wait until our correspondent finds out that the Chinese have put a million Muslims into camps.

Why should we respond to your mantras if you do not respond to our objections? Your pamphlets are of no interest. They are the typical fundamentalist cantilena.

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.”

Dear Brother Big Dog: Therefore, if the "Chinese Marxist ATHEISM" is destroying churches and putting Muslims in jail, it is because God wants it. And if you come here to drilling us with your fundamentalist slogans you are not a good Christian, you go against God and will end up in hell. I warn you if you haven't noticed. That you quote St. Paul and don't know what he's saying.

Actual human rights abuses and putting 1 million Muslims in re-education camps: “little sympathy.”

And there it is folks.

After all, it is what Santiago Matamoros did. Santiago= Saint James, the revered saint of the road to Santiago. Santiago Matamoros and Chinese atheism, the same struggle, right? And the Crusades? Weren't they Christian? Dieu le veult! And if God wants Christians to kill Muslims, who are you to blame the Chinese for putting them in jail? Brother Big Dog, you have not understand Saint Paul.

Poenitet, poenitet, brother, and pray with me:

CONFITEOR Deo omnipotenti, beatae Mariae semper Virgini, beato Michaeli Archangelo, beato Ioanni Baptistae, sanctis Apostolis Petro et Paulo, et omnibus Sanctis, quia peccavi nimis cogitatione, verbo et opere: mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Ideo precor beatam Mariam semper Virginem, beatum Michaelem Archangelum, beatum Ioannem Baptistam, sanctos Apostolos Petrum et Paulum, et omnes Sanctos, orare pro me ad Dominum Deum nostrum. Amen.

You are not wrong, but many self-proclaimed Marxists haven't read more than the Communist Manifesto (1848; "A spectre is haunting Europe ...") and never get around to reading even the first volume of Capital (1866-), so it's hard to tell in advance which book they'll grab off the shelf (or Kindle).

Back in the 1980s, (West!) German Marxists would go to East Germany to buy the MEGW (Marx Engels Gesammelte Werke), "die blauen Bänder" and in particular Das Kapital. The editions were cheaper and much better than what you could find in the West. One of my friends was from a family that had fled from East (Dresden) to West and still had family there that she visited. Her uncle was a party member (!), and he was wondering about all the West German Marxists who bought (and read!!!!) Capital because, "Nobody around here reads that stuff anymore!"

ETA: And it isn't an ideology!. :)

Except I think they really though of themselves as Marxist, and you're engaging in a common fallacy.

https://www.logicalfallacies.info/presumption/no-true-scotsman/

The Chinese revolution was anti-Marxist from its beginning. Marx believed impossible a peasant socialist revolution. The revolution would be a proletarian revolution in the advanced capitalist countries. Only exception: Russia, because Engels incorrecty believed that communal propierty of land was stronger than it actually was.

Presently, Chinese Marxism is only a rhetoric to mask the Chinese way to capitalism. This is a Marxist aberration: a so called socialist country that goes backward.

Don't think you can say that in regards to Marxism as it is a very detailed and well defined ideology so it is quite different from say fascism. If someone claims to be Marxist we can grab the book off the shelf and start checking their claim against the definition.

I agree. Many so called democrats are actually fascists. Rhetorical and sophistry, you know. Even Brother Big Dog thinks to be Christian. He is wrong. He doesn't believe in the Holy Book. (By the way, nobody believes. A "true" Christian would be a strange thing).

Well in this case you are affirmatively defending it, so...

Nonsense. I hope you’re not a cop or prosecutor. THEY need to understand the motives behind the actions of criminals to do their jobs.

Understanding the motives and logic of the opposition is vital to countering them and denying them support. Just look at how the Catholic Church has used its understanding of psychology to silence victims of sexual abuse and their families! Roman Catholic clergy has spent hundreds of years learning the psychology of why a parent would not go to the police when a priest has violently raped their child.

The Chinese government is wielding anti-religious propaganda to do what they’re doing.

And here you are, equating efforts to understand the motives with apologetics. Sad. Low energy. Clearly you don’t care about changing anything. You just want to rant.

Read the Book? Absolutely, in between apologizing for human rights abuses, do us a solid and quote the “book” where it says that Christians should create a theocracy.

Seriously? Since when have Christians let the Bible get in the way of violent conquest and dominance? Crack open a history book.

Besides, Genesis itself offers the Cultural Mandate.

Unless you’re a member of the Christian Dominion movement you really should familiarize yourself with them. If they get what they want, non-Christians and Christians who are the “wrong” denomination will end up being subjected to a modern version of the Spanish Inquisition.

Is this you admitting that your only purpose is to stir up outrage, and that you consider this thread to be an ideal execution of that plan?

Of course, outrage at the human rights abuses in China.

It never occurred to me that the outrage would be directed at me for having the temerity to point out that the abuses were rooted in atheism, so much outrage that our intrepid atheists would defend the abuses.

It only became a dream threads when the posts opposing mine manage only to reinforce my points

His posts are an excellent illustration of Proverbs 26:11.

You did notice that other than emotive swooning, our apologist correspondent completely failed to support the point, which point was arranged for the sole purpose of justifying the human rights abuses, which curiously is the same exact thing that you have been doing.

Thank you for demonstrating my point so succinctly.
