Reminds me of when I had guys working for me in the Boiler Controls Shop who had a bumper sticker inside their door that said "Bosses are like diapers, full of **** and all over your ass". I pretty much laughed it off. That said, it isn't respectful to the police to wear those socks, but this is America: they don't HAVE to be respectful of anything. And to make you being respectful of an outside organization that you feel (right or wrong) is singling out people of your skin color for termination, should not be made a condition of employment, nor pushed at you by the President of the United States.

Teenagers cry about respect...who is giving it, who deserves it, etc.

You shouldn't have. Your arguments for the cops make them seem like the saddest bunch of mewling kittens. They should not be in possession of guns

HI! I get that you missed the point, but to reiterate again, the point is that the socks show Kap's real motivation (well one of them anyway, the other being that he is pussy whipped).

Now you go right ahead and post something about cop's being thin skinned again! Micah Xavier Johnson would be proud.

The real motivation that he feels people of his skin color are singled out by termination by the police, and he wants to draw attention to that fact and motivate change?

You didn't show anything I didn't know. As a fellow cop hater I love those socks and actually show the flag disrespect.

Now it's not about disrespecting the anthem and veterans but about a pair of socks depicting something that has been commonly referenced since forever?

Transparent

No, not even remotely, I actually don't think that it is possible that one is that far off.

That is really quite remarkable.

Why do the socks thing comes up? The anerican sniper lady says it is about veterans. The socks are about cops.

If you don't pay attention to what Kap actually says you can make it about whatever you want. That's how outrage works.

And hats off for actually joining a conversation. I just hope you don't get written up for animal cruelty.

well we can look at Kap's after the fact excuses AND look at his conduct (like sending a message by wearing anti-cop socks)

And we can also realize that Kap's anti-cop actions can be insulting to other groups too, like Veterans, like the "American sniper lady" says.

Hopefully when people participate in the discussion they will preemptively address logical fallacies in their posts like false dichotomies, amiright?

(although good point about animal cruelty, because sometime reading posts that not only make no sense but actually suck sense out of the thread can be excruciating)

The socks do not demonstrate animosity to any other groups. So we can look at each group on a case by case basis. How he feels about cops says nothing about veterans.

What about baseball? You forgot how he insulted baseball.

And really, I just quoted this for the parenthetical.

I'm a veteran, and so is Bob. I don't feel insulted by his actions, and it doesn't look like Bob is. How is "can be insulting" to the group a valid complaint, when it looks like an individual choice on how to react? Do you presume to speak on behalf of these groups

Baseball? Why would Kap insult baseball, we know that one of his heroes, Fidel Castro, loved baseball.

Kap, loves Castro, hates cops, is totally whipped.

y'all know I was referring to something our correspondent wrote right here in this thread, which is why I used quotes.
