Of course.....Bob is Bob.

I remember when Kap came to Seattle. I thought Seattle was going to sign him. I think they still should. But I'm convinced the league has him blackballed.
Well, Colin wants starter money and with Russell in Seattle he'd never get that. They're set for years with Russell if he sticks around.

You don't know what Kap's salary demands are. It never got that far. He knew when he came to Seattle to discuss joining the team, it was as a backup. They were never going to pay him starter money.

I just went off of the information in the article. It said he wasn't looking for backup money. I'm sure he would have been a backup, but that doesn't mean he wants to be paid like one.

"The 29-year-old visited the*Seattle Seahawks, and head coach Pete Carroll said "[Kaepernick's] a starter in this league," via*Andre Vergara*of Fox Sports. However, the squad noted they didn't need a starter and instead signed Austin Davis"

Something gave them a different impression than what you are saying. Unless they just want to pull out the "he's too qualified" for us. Other than that, if what you say is true there was really no reason for him not to sign.

I don't necessarily think you are wrong. I think it might have come down to that Kap wanted to be the starter and they were afraid he may have been a disruption. I KNOW they never made him an offer. Was it money? A lot of the articles alluded to the idea that Seahawk players liked and respected Kap more than the buttoned down corporate guy that Russell was and they were concerned about adding a divisive dynamic to the team.

I can't remember which team it was but they offered him a spot if he agreed to never kneel. Which Colin wouldn't do, nor should he. Pay no attention to Bob, no sense in getting bobbed again.

Nevermind, that's not even true. Bob is running on outdated and inaccurate information. Apparently it's not cool to research before or after making comments.

Broncos offered him a contract when he was sitting behind Blaine gabbert.

Wow. Did you actually believe this was a clever post?

Some are so blind in their ways that they would excuse anything....

"Lynching? How is that racist? If a white guy was lynched, would that be racist?"

"Cross burning? How is that racist? If a white guy has a cross burned on his front lawn, would that be racist?"

Here was the story from that time BEFORE the protest even started. It can't be political if it predated politics.
He already had a contract that paid more. He was playing with a team at the time. Why would he take, what turned out to be, a massive, massive pay cut to leave what was his current situation?

Your point is ********. You phrased it like he was getting offers now, he's not.

If it predated the protesting then why even bother posting it?

That being said, I'm done addressing you and this complete lie you're trying to sell. Goodbye.

To get the starter job over Trevor siemian rather than compete against Blaine gabbert. 2 months before he expressed interest in being traded.

Wow! You don't get it Bob. And I am sure as hell am not going to get Bobbed again.

In any case, given how they normally react to this sort of things, I look forward to conservatives walking around barefoot because they set their only pair of shoes on fire to "boycott Nike".

I bet Nike looked long and hard at this. I'm sure they did their due diligence and decided that they have a lot more to gain on this than to lose. Who buys their shoes? I bet rural Rednecks have never been a big part of their customer base.

Which reminds me. Yesterday I stopped at a yard sale West of Eugene Oregon. I pulled into the driveway and saw some stereotypical Trump voters. Single wide Trailer on about 2 acres with junk everywhere. Run down beater car and lifted pickup, both with Trump stickers. The truck had two flags in the rear stake holes, one a confederate flag and the other an American flag. The rear window of the truck had the image of an assault rifle across the back.
