trump Tweets a three parter!

"I have asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo not to go to North Korea, at this time, because I feel we are not making sufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula..."

"...Additionally, because of our much tougher Trading stance with China, I do not believe they are helping with the process of denuclearization as they once were (despite the UN Sanctions which are in place)..."

"...Secretary Pompeo looks forward to going to North Korea in the near future, most likely after our Trading relationship with China is resolved. In the meantime I would like to send my warmest regards and respect to Chairman Kim. I look forward to seeing him soon!"

Gee who would have thought antagonizing the country that has the most influence over North Korea was a bad idea?

Not of course that 'denuclearization' was ever going to happen since NK's vision of what that meant bore no relation to Trump's, or more likely Bolton's since I doubt Trump has ever had a policy vision beyond destroying everything Obama did.

Someone should tell Trump that Obama didn't take overdoses of drugs.

Blithely ignoring the fact that Chairman Kim (whom I despise as much as I do Trump) just played Donnie for a sucker.

Well it's not a high bar - one just needs to flatter him (and be an autocratic strongman)

I wonder how many Trump supporters thought that he was actually accomplishing something in North Korea, and will any of them realize that Trump was lying to them about North Korea?

I'd say it's about as likely as them finally realizing that the agreement isn't to remove nukes from North Korea. That's something Trump himself apparently hasn't realized.
"... denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula ..."
Not North Korea; the whole peninsula, which I assume includes removing South Korea from the US nuclear umbrella.

And I suspect, very soon, sadly,Trump's attacks on MaCain will come back to haunt him.

How so? He has no filter and certainly no shame. His sycophants worship him for telling it like it is, even when it isn't. Especially when it isn't.

Anyone notice a particular trend?

Look at the number of people that we would normally dislike or criticize, but who are now almost seen as "heroes" because circumstances have put them in opposition to Trump:

- Sessions - Attorney general with a racist background; Trump keeps belittling him in tweets, but he is still sticking around, and is allowing Mueller to continue his work
- Omarosa, former member of Trump's white house, now revealing some inner workings about the white house
- Avenetti - Ok, was never a trump ally, but he is a lawyer who may have a shady background (issues related to bankruptcy), and we cheer every time he goes on TV to highlight Trump's shady dealings
- Cohen - involved in all sorts of illegal dealings but now that he's flipped on Trump we're happy to see him take the Racist Orangutan down

I doubt I'd trust any of them (whatever they say or do needs to be backed up by evidence) but I think it says just how disreputable of a person Trump is if he can end up making people like these the ones we root for.

It's just the self proclaimed Master Of The Deal is so damn easy to roll. A second rate con man, if he pushed the right buttons, could take Trump to the cleaners.
We are talking about a guy whose went Bankrupt on a Casino, for heaven's sake...

Ah, poor Donnie will not get his Noble Peace Prize.

I hate and despise Kim Il Jong, but I admit, he took Trump the Great Deal Maker to the cleaners on this.

That reminds me of when all the kids thought Tom Sawyer was dead, and they were all comparing the last time they saw him or something they’d done with him, and all one kid could think of was, “Well, Tom Sawyer he licked me once.” But that was no big deal; Tom had beaten everybody in a fight at least once. So I hope Kim isn’t bragging too much about fooling Trump; it’s lke the ground state of dealing with him.

I'd add McCabe and Comey to that list. McCabe raised a disgusting amount of money in no time, while family members of black men murdered by police officers have been pledged only a fraction.

Also, I know Mueller is supposed to be the savior of the republic, and I even compared him to Captain America, but you don't get to run the FBI for ten years without doing some ****** up ****. He along with Comey and Ashcroft gets praise because they pushed back against the excesses of the worst administration in recent memory.

People see these guys as heroes?

Sessions - Hah, no. He probably just wanted to reimpose Jim Crow and force black and Latinx people into private prisons for his own profit, and wasn't counting on all this corruption. Would likely be replaced with David Clarke or Joe Arpaio, though, or possibly George Zimmerman.
Omarosa - Heard several people call her Black Loki. She's obviously evil, but her evil is working for the same basic purpose that good people want, so we can work with her for now. Not welcome at the cookout, though, and nobody forgot that time she told everyone to bend the knee for Dolt 45.
Avenetti - as a lawyer? Sure, fine. As a presidential candidate? No.
Cohen - Scum, probably just looking to stab Dolt 45 in the back. Glad to see him likely to get some jail time.

I repeat my Sister..who is a lawyer..remark that Trump's legal team is the biggest collection of scumbuckery ,evil lawyers since Wolfram and Harte on "Angel". Only thing missing is that, so far, they have not openly sworn allegiance to dark, demonic powers but that may come....

It's likely true - except the lawyers in Angel were also more competent. Since Dolt45 often refuses to pay people, he's developed a bad reputation, which led to many better people simply refused to bother with him right from the start.
