I agree but maybe he felt he'd said what he wanted to say and didn't want to end up diluting his legacy? Perhaps it was the best choice. He still performs though, I saw him not so long ago at Wembley and it was genuinely one of the best concerts of my life.

I think he's great too. But he stopped writing new music probably 30 years ago. But I can't really bitch since I haven't written any...ever.

Given how a whole room of folk couldn't convince him that it wasn't Agent Orange being referred to in 'Apocalypse Now' I think the idea that anyone can change his mind on anything is being foolishly optimistic!

Trump is not partisan in the traditional sense. He's hardly committed to GOP ideals (which, as it turns out, were no big deal for much of Congress, either -- ideals being, evidently, determined by the wind).

Excellent article. And let's not forget the infamous "alternative fact" quote from Kellyanne Conway. The WH told us almost immediately that the Trump administration was not going to be restricted to the truth. Yet the "true believers" accepted this with enthusiasm. They are, indeed, the gullible that the Nigerian scammers identify and target with great success.
