So why was it done? Ending security clearance doesn't erase Brennan's memory, and its not like he would have been involved with the Trump administration anyways, so there is no benefit. Oh boy look at all the people going to bat for John Brennan.

Well he went to bat for torture and the murder drone program, so it is good to see so many folks going to bat for him because he says mean things about Trump.

Oh sure he was the architect of the murder drone program, and told the American Public that it had not killed any civilians (despite knowing that it had killed lots and lots) and sure he spied on Congress when they were investigating the CIA's role in torture, but he said that Trump wasn't civil, so lets give one of history's greatest monsters a pass!
