Ah, sending out the advance troops to see if that crazy lady who said she thanked the Russians for their interference is really the crazy pulse of the crazy GOP.

I wouldn't have thought he needed to. He's been taking advantage of their craziness for quite a while now. If anyone could gauge its extent it would be him. He's already been operating under the premise that there are no limits there.

But as we've finally seen in the past few weeks, there are limits. I thus hope he continues to misread the public. He thought he was so adored that he could pull that public fellatio with Putin, then when he was told that it didn't come over that great, he tried to lie his way out of it, and again, with total disrespect for the public, he believed they'd bought into it. So what does he do? He says he's going to have our new best friend over for a meeting.

He really, actually and truly, thought everyone bought his ridiculous subterfuge and back-pedalling. I also see a lot more push back (unfortunately very few sitting cowards congressmen, but even some of them are coming 'round.) Putin must've watched the morning news last week and said, "He did what? Jeeebus, you can't teach this idiot anything!"

Puh-lease, Donnie. Have Putin to the White House or go see him in Moscow. October 20th, would be just about perfect.

I'd love to think that you are right about this, but the Trumpette Apologia Squads™ are already downplaying all of that. If you can't make it into "fake news" or some sort of conspiratorial plot by the leebral meedja and the "deep state" then you sell the story that it's really okay, and there's nothing wrong here.

Just like top GOP leaders are already downplaying conspiracy with a hostile foreign power to commit computer crimes as 'Nothing but opposition research. Everybody does it.'.

I thought CNN said that Cohen's side had leaked it. I don't understand how Trump's making that particular bit of audio public weakens Cohen's case for prosecutors. Prosecutors already have it. Cohen's public claim that Trump knew about the meeting with Russians seems to undermine his ability to negotiate with prosecutors.

One of the things campaign strategists have learned over the years is that timing matters. News can impact elections, but notably, there is a bounceback effect after a few weeks and it's as if the news never happened, voters settle back into their tribes.

This is potentially devastating for GOP control of the House, so better to leak it now than wait for it to be revealed in live testimony in October.

Back in 2008, Trump had a very odd real estate deal in which a grifter/small-church minister simply gave Trump a $10M house that the "minister" had obtained due to a typo in a legal agreement (oh, of course). IIRC, this was one of the first major transactions that Cohen handled for Trump. Since then, neither Cohen nor Trump (nor much of anyone else) has been willing to comment about it, but if Cohen's started talking, I'd be very interested to hear more of that story.

I'm starting to be very interested in what sort of real estate transactions Cohen advised Sean Hannity on. I think that will be interesting.

Trump just Tweeted that Mueller has a conflict of interest because Trump considered him to replace Comey and Mueller didn't get the job so Mueller is angry.

You claim property was a gift or sold for a dollar (commonly used) to avoid capital gains tax. Could be Trump paid under the table, for a value less than the property was worth. IOW you trade lying about capital gains for the seller for a better price for you.

JHC. Is there no idiotic lie this man-child will not resort to in his desperation? He is his own worst enemy.

Trump lying again. Comey replaced Mueller after Mueller spent a dozen years as the FBI chief. He is 74 years old. I doubt he thought for a second that Trump was considering appointing him. Mueller was basically retired. I doubt he would have accepted the job if it had been offered.

He was picked as the special prosecutor simply because he was considered to be honorable and no nonsense.

"There is No Collusion! The Robert Mueller Rigged Witch Hunt, headed now by 17 (increased from 13, including an Obama White House lawyer) Angry Democrats, was started by a fraudulent Dossier, paid for by Crooked Hillary and the DNC. Therefore, the Witch Hunt is an illegal Scam!"

"Is Robert Mueller ever going to release his conflicts of interest with respect to President Trump, including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship, I turned him down to head the FBI (one day before appointment as S.C.) & Comey is his close friend.."

"....Also, why is Mueller only appointing Angry Dems, some of whom have worked for Crooked Hillary, others, including himself, have worked for Obama....And why isn’t Mueller looking at all of the criminal activity & real Russian Collusion on the Democrats side-Podesta, Dossier?"

Trump seems to have inside info on what Mueller is/isn't investigating.

The panic continues... Trump the Narcissist is finding his supply ever dwindling.

Yes, I think he knows at least some of what Mueller knows -- if not, it's not for lack of trying. The odds on "another shoe about to drop" are shortening, if you want to get in a bet now.

And it's something the IRS would be very interested to hear about, since it usually means tax evasion. The tax would be assessed at fair market value usually.

You can get away with this sort of thing for a used car, but a mansion is worth the IRS' resources.
