I think you were one of the ones who have said Democrats need to offer more than negativity - which is why I think slapping him with a consistent label and then pivoting to Democratic proposals may be a good strategy. A Senate candidate (Republican) in my state is going all-in with Trump, scare ads about murderous illegal immigrants, Build the Wall etc. The Democratic front-runner is respected and the party, though in a red state, has had success in statewide races before. Moderate Republicans have also done well, but those don't seem to exist anymore.I started a thread about what would be the best nickname for Trump. I heard some good ones including Benedict Donald and others that I really liked but I think I like Dishonest Donald the best. It is simple and it paints a clear and accurate picture of who everyone including his supporters know him to be.
If young people show up to vote they will have a big influence. I hope there's some serious strategic thinking as to how to get out the 18-35 vote. This needs to be a simple, focused effort.
Maybe Bernie Sanders could fire up his network; that's where New York's Ocasio came from. Maybe she and Bernie will stump for the Dems. I don't agree with her entire platform but she's 28 and brimming with positive energy. She'd bring bottled lightning to the purple states.
