Virtually every single group of immigrants, including all of those from Europe, has met with the same focus. Hispanics are merely the most recent.

The rhetoric has always been virtually identical, to the point that with only a very few substitutions it could be used today by the latest crop of bigots.

The proximity of the border has nothing to do with it.
 
The crying children are no different than children being dropped off at daycare.

A Republican congressional candidate in New York said Tuesday that the sounds of crying immigrant children separated from their parents at the border were the "same exact" sounds heard at any daycare when a parent leaves for work.
"I think it's extremely unfortunate. But what people are forgetting -- they just want to listen to those tapes -- I can take you to any nursery and you're going to hear the same exact things as a mother leaves to go to work and has to leave her child at daycare. You're going to hear those same exact things," Michael Grimm, who is running for the Republican nomination in New York's 11th Congressional District, told NY1.

Bull crap! That you're a centrist. And the content of your post is too. At least most of it. Yes, this happened under Obama too. But very little. Trump and Sessions turned it into an automatic 100 percent, no exceptions policy.

As for the Obama deficits. Yea BUSH is to *********** blame. We're you hiding in a hole? When Bush took office in 2001 it was following 3 budget surpluses under Clinton. We were on pace to wipe out the National Debt by the end of Bush's second term. But Bush and the GOP Congress passed big tax cuts for the rich, started wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and saw the biggest worldwide financial meltdown since the Great Depression. What was Obama to do? Follow Hoover's lead or FDR's? By the way, unless you are too blinded by false information. The budget deficit decreased EVERY year after the first year of Obama's Presidency.

That is exactly my point - policy is a different creature than sloppy targeting and poor oversight. It's negligence, versus deliberate intent.
 
Lots of the "Outraged" are standing for outraged photo ops.... at a border control facility at Tornillo has about 360 teenage immigrants who entered the country illegally, unaccompanied by adults.

But they were separated from their parents, tho.

It would be one thing if The Big Dog pointed to abuses committed during the Obama administration and said these issues need to be addressed so they don't happen again. But that isnt what he's doing. He is saying we are wrong to be upset at even far worse abuses that the Trump administration made POLICY!

It takes a cruel and evil bastard to think this is OK. Or maybe just a Republican.

Whether she wore it into the shelter itself is immaterial; it was well known she was traveling to Texas on that flight for the purposes of visiting one of the (more humane appearing) shelters for the immigrant children, and she wore THAT on the start of the trip. It sends the absolute wrong message during a crucial visit to at least TRY to make her husband look marginally better.
