"If the person placed very early into my campaign wasn’t a SPY put there by the previous Administration for political purposes, how come such a seemingly massive amount of money was paid for services rendered - many times higher than normal..."

"...Follow the money! The spy was there early in the campaign and yet never reported Collusion with Russia, because there was no Collusion. He was only there to spy for political reasons and to help Crooked Hillary win - just like they did to Bernie Sanders, who got duped!"

"Look how things have turned around on the Criminal Deep State. They go after Phony Collusion with Russia, a made up Scam, and end up getting caught in a major SPY scandal the likes of which this country may never have seen before! What goes around, comes around!"

"SPYGATE could be one of the biggest political scandals in history!"

What money is he talking about?

ETA: Never mind. I found it. Maybe.

The person Trump was referring to as a spy is actually a longtime FBI informant (there’s a difference, Google it) named Stefan Halper. He’s an emeritus professor at the University of Cambridge in England and a lifelong Republican who was part of past GOP administrations. (Funny how all the VERY BAD Deep State traitors out to get Trump are Republicans, including Mueller himself.)

The FBI was investigating Russian interference during the campaign and had Halper make contact with two members of the Trump campaign — foreign policy advisers George Papadopoulos and Carter Page — who were already under FBI scrutiny. Halper also met with a third campaign member, campaign co-chair Sam Clovis.

The money Trump referenced in his Tuesday night tweets is presumably the more than $1 million the government paid Halper for his services over the years, dating at least back to 2012, which included work for a Pentagon think tank. The Washington Post reported that some of the money Halper was paid was used to pay “other academics and experts” he had hired to conduct research and prepare reports.

How does Trump know what the normal rate for campaign spies is?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal judge expressed skepticism on Wednesday toward a request by lawyers for President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort to suppress evidence seized by FBI agents working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Manafort’s lawyers told the judge the FBI conducted an illegal warrantless search in May 2017 on a storage unit by getting one of Manafort’s low-level employees to unlock it and let an agent look inside. The agent later obtained a warrant to seize business records stored there.

Defense lawyers said the employee was permitted only to go inside the unit “as directed by Manafort” in the course of his employment, and could not give lawful consent for the search.

Judge Jackson seemed highly dubious about that claim.

“The lease says on its face he’s the occupant,” the judge said. “He’s named as the occupant and he has a key.”

Most Americans don’t realize Robert Mueller’s investigation has uncovered crimes

A majority of Americans — 59 percent — say in a new survey that Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia and the 2016 campaign has not yet uncovered evidence of any crimes, even though in reality, Mueller has already obtained five guilty pleas and 17 criminal indictments.

Just... How?

I really think the repeated right wing mantra "No Evidence of Collusion" actually works on a significant subset of people.

Of course it does.

Gray area, I would guess. I mean, they've definitely uncovered crimes... just not the crimes that the general public was looking for them to uncover.

That's some Blue Ribbon, Grade A-1, Championship Level projection right there.

Especially the highlighted part, but the whole tweet reeks of it.

Brennan and Clapper are both as calm and cool to the point of looking almost bored between chuckling at the questions. Brennan in particular was incredibly generous going out of his way not to be all criticism of Trump.

Independents tend to be low news consumers and Faux News viewers are actively fed lies.

Gray area? It says those people don't believe he uncovered crimes. It doesn't say "crimes related to Russian influence". Which, even if it did, there have still been indictments for Russians meddling in the election. Either way, those people are morons, no gray area. As previously said, low information people or those that are spoon fed by fox.

By gray area I mean that the people polled are reasonably likely to be completing the sentence differently. The poll might ask whether they believe Mueller has uncovered evidence of crimes... but they're augmenting that mentally to be "has Mueller uncovered evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia"... because that's what they're supposed to be investigating. They've uncovered crimes committed by Russia, and they've uncovered crimes committed by Manafort and various others... but they haven't yet disclosed any charges being laid that indicate collusion between Trump and Russia.

My point is that I think there's a high likelihood that the polling percent is high, not because people are ignorant or willfully delusional, but because they're answering a different question than what is asked.

Right, which I answered by saying, "No, they aren't, they're just low information or spoon fed from Fox." Nothing you've said has changed that.

A few notes, using phrases like "that's what they're supposed to be investigating" is nonsensical. That's what they are investigating, and there's no evidence to say they aren't investigating that. It might be a slip of the tongue by you, but it's important that you don't accidentally spread misinformation.

They're, more accurately, investigating (among many other things) collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, not just specifically Trump. Which they've uncovered evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, in a few different forms.

Some people will fool themselves into believing anything to defend Trump.

Despite having had it explained to him several times over the last few months, logger still doesn't seem to know what a plea bargain is.

It will be interesting what he gets. He bragged to another about what an informant from the FBI told him. Then lied about it. That Mueller is an amazing investigator, BAHAHAHA!

Despite having had it explained to him several times over the last few months, logger still doesn't seem to know what a plea bargain is.

What does papa accepting a plea have to do with the question in my post?

???
