Or not. Nixon wouldn't have been forced out of office without the tapes and so far there is no information that has been released to the public that is as damning as the tapes. ...
I disagree with this. In fact, far more damning information has come out about Trump than ever came out in the Watergate tapes. You'd have to be simply tribal or an idiot not to recognize Trump's blatant attempt to obstruct justice. The difference is that there was a physical break-in of the Democratic HQ and burglary at the root of it and it was planned by associates of Nixon and the subsequent cover up. I think people can relate to a burglary as a crime easier than collusion.
The evidence of clear collusion between Trump's inner circle and the Russians is beyond obvious. Finally, its also clear with the actions of Trump in regards to Russia demonstrate that he has been bought.

My guess, though, is still that Trump won't serve out his term. The total of all the possibilities that causes Trump not to serve out his term IMO is over 50%.
I wasn't clear with regard to what I meant above. What I meant to say was so far there is nothing that is incriminating in such a straight forward way against Trump as the tapes were against Nixon. From your post it seems that you might agree with that.
My general sense of this is that before Trump could be forced out of office a significant reduction in his support base is required. There are some signs that this kind of thing could happen. Based on polling data, support for Trump is much less enthusiastic than in the group of people that is disgusted by him. And there have been moments where Fox News has taken a break from its 24/7 Trump shilling. But I just haven't seen anything that is the kind of overwhelming evidence of serious crimes that will lead a significant part of his base to stop supporting him and without that IMO Trump can't be forced out of office.
Even when it is clear that his economic policies are leading to massive deficits and the negative consequences of his reckless abandoning of trade deals and the Iran deal become clear he and the Republicans will blame the Democrats, the Chinese, the Mexicans, the blacks, the Muslims and whatever group that they think might have traction with their base and their base will believe them. Confirmation bias and tribal bias are powerful forces and Trump knows how to use them to his advantage.
My guess, though, is still that Trump won't serve out his term. The total of all the possibilities that causes Trump not to serve out his term IMO is over 50%.
We have passed peak Trump?
Have we passed peak applecorped?
And in the week before he was elected his chances of winning the White House were around 30%.
Or was it less?
We have passed peak Trump?
I know people want me to comment on Trump's stupid Sunday tweets. So here's my comment: like most of his tweets, today's are mere brain farts with no force in law whatsoever. Trump has just made up facts and thinks the justice system will bend to his reality. It can't and won't.
2/ The worst-case scenario here is that Trump succeeds in temporarily diverting valuable resources to a wild-goose chase that—like all the other Keystone cop operations he's tried to run via Devin Nunes—will end up biting him in the ass and uncovering *more* inculpatory evidence.
If @FBI operation was for political purposes, FBI wouldn't have kept Operation Crossfire Hurricane such a closely guarded secret. Clinton campaign & American public would have known about it in 2016. But we didn't. This was a legitimate & necessary counterintelligence operation.
So legitimate it got most of the top leadership in the FBI fired, demoted or quit the bureau. Lol, Seth abramson is a moron.
Things could hardly be different if a Mob boss were elected President.

I think it's sunk in that the investigation is actually progressing and resulting in people being indicted and prosecuted, which is why applecorped has moved on from repeatedly asking how many people have been indicted to repeatedly posting laughing dogs.
When the Temper Tantrum Toddler in Chief can operate with the freedom granted by a spineless, enabling Congress to bully, harrass and meddle in the way he has with his (Nixonesque) "enemies" in the FBI, then yeah, he can get results in being rid of some thorns in his side.
But you go on thinking it was all fully justified.
Things could hardly be different if a Mob boss were elected President.
Actually Muellers investigation is faltering a bit[...]
I suppose you think he’s just going to shut up and let people railroad him? That does seem to be what the left thinks he should do. It’s obvious he’s not going to do that.
Defending ones self being described as a temper tantrum is the leftist playbook, mob boss would be too.
