We certainly couldn't rely on any ally to jump in on such a matter, simply decapitating the regime would turn into a massive mess, and last I heard we were absurdly overextended to begin with.

At best, of course, Iran will continue to honor their agreement with the other signing countries, and the US will be increasingly isolated.

Strategically, while Iran is huge, some 30-40% of its population are concentrated in a handful of urban centers, with 15-20% in Greater Teheran alone. However, its terrain makes for a logistical nightmare and makes insurgency and guerilla warfare relatively easy. It would be insane to start a war there.

"Regimes like..." I honestly don't see a single common denominator between the governments of the countries you listed, except for the fact that none of them is a functioning democracy.

I think Trump's pulling out of the Iran deal was a horrid mistake, but your embrace of the Iranian Government and Hatred of Israeli is pretty extreme.
I don't like Bibi very much, but your putting all the blame on Isreali and ignoring Iran's long history of "Death to Israel" rhetoric is a bit much.

Winning the war would likely be pretty easy, I don't see the problem as a military defeat by Iran. It is that while achieving military victory is likely not all that hard getting a successful outcome is rather a lot harder.

Iraq 2.0 : Iran is such a bad idea.

It's worse; they are willfully wrong. They think them believing it, loyalty to their master, is more important than factual accuracy, or just plain old reasoning.

They view everything through tribal loyalty and grievance. Logic, science, morality, reasoning, principals, are all just tools to be discarded in service to their lord and in attacking the 'enemy'. Once you understand that reasoning, their actions make sense.

Of course reality does actually matter, so in the long run that kind of reasoning loses, but after a great amount of damage to everyone.
