Did I mention you? No, no I didn’t. But it had the desired effect.

You mentioned liberals. Gabeygoat presumably identifies as a liberal. Not just a liberal, but one who is confused as to why a republican president (if we assume, as you are doing, that they were from Trump as opposed to Mcgahn) giving a republican deputy AG a set of cufflinks would upset them.

Exactly what was the desired affect you were hoping for? Getting a response? or would you categorise that post by Gabeygoat as the equivalent of their head exploding. I'm genuinely confused.

Obstructionsist Democratic Party representatives yet again :(

Can't they discriminate between the kind of unsubstantiated scuttlebutt referred to in this article and the damning hard facts discovered during the Benghazi investigation

If the allegations are true, then I feel sorry for Admiral Johnson. I enjoy a good drink but would not drink on the job. IMO if he does drink excessively on the job - and at this stage it's unsubstantiated - then the man may have issues.

Oh look, Trump changing the court for a generation. McConnell deserves a lot of credit for this. He strategically denied loser Obama a chance to add the our federal courts.

What an odd article. It basically says "the number of vacant positions has nearly doubled under Trump, but if he actually starts to do something about it and chooses to pick people who aren't unqualified or reprehensible then he might be able to change the political slant of the court, if the Republicans don't lose to the Democrats in the midterms".

That's not even a nothingburger. It's not even a nothingbun.

Lol

Then you obviously misunderstood it. He only has to act quickly. ;)

Looks like Trump is using his own personal cell phone more and more, rather than white house land-lines. (This may be related to Trump wanting to cut chief-of-staff Kelly out of the loop.) Problem is, its less secure.

From: https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/23/politics/donald-trump-cell-phone/index.html
Another security expert said the President's increased cell phone use makes his calls more vulnerable to eavesdropping from foreign governments... Another implication of Trump's private cell phone use, Cunningham noted, is the possibility that Trump's conversations may not be "captured for the purposes of government accountability and history."
So, in addition to: 1) giving away previously classified intelligence to the Russians, 2) Holding meetings that should be secure in front of guests at Mar a lago, 3) Having multiple people working in the administration without proper security clearances, we now have a president who has gone back to using an insecure method of communication.

Tell me, why were we so concerned about Hillary's email server again?

Hardly a nothingburger. And easy to get done.

"If Trump actually starts to do something about this, then something favourable might happen, if his picks aren't terrible, and if the Democrats don't win the midterms" is, you're right, not even hardly a nothingburger. It's not even any kind of nothingburger. It's much, much less than that.

He can do it sooner then the midterms, his picks only have to satisfy the republicans.

Correction... they have to satisfy almost ALL the republicans... if a couple are otherwise indisposed, or if a couple decide that the nominations by an incompetent racist orangutan are bad for the country and actually decide that treason is not cool, and none of the democrats vote with them, some of these appointments could be lost.

Devos was confirmed by only a vote of 51-50, and that was with a senate that had 1 more sitting republican. Now things are even tighter, and a few republicans who are facing re-election may decide tying themselves to a treasonous white house may hamper their campaigns.

I wonder when we'll see a Gingrich faux pas with the cell phone thing. That has to be a rich target.

This time the conversations will likely be leaked anonymously though.

Digital phones are different to analogue ones. If Gingrich had an analogue phone then it could have been listened in on

ETA: it is possible, and even for not that much money - but is quite more involved

It also looks more common than I originally thought too
