That Nunberg might have been drinking or indulging in other substances is being seriously advanced by some commentators.

Erin Burnett just interviewed him face-to-very-close-face, and told him directly that she smelled alcohol on his breath.

He denied any drinking.

I kind of hope he was drinking. I'd be really worried that his performance on CNN was the result of a clear and sober head.

it makes no sense;You don't defy a subpoena by a traffic court judge, let alone a federal special prosecutor. It never ends well....

It's rather intriguing watching these people start to unravel. According to reports inside the WH Trump is losing the plot daily, often screaming and raging at the headlines on the TV. Sometimes it'd be fun to be a fly on the wall watching all the crazy happen first hand.

:popcorn1

Fox News cited Nunberg's local interview (didn't say what local station) in which he responded to Suckabee-Handers' critique in Trumpesque terms:

“She’s a joke,” Nunberg said. “OK fine, yeah, she’s unattractive, she’s a fat slob, but that’s not relevant.”

“The person she works for has a 30 percent approval rating,” he continued. “If she wants to start attacking me, that’s fine. She can do that.”

Nunberg is going to wake up tomorrow with a huge headache, a vague sense that something is wrong, and hundreds of waiting voicemails.

Nunberg has been talking a lot of **** about the Trump campaign and White House - it might be a bit too late to hope for a Presidential Pardon.

This whole thing is a like a train wreck, and out of the flaming wreckage crawls a bunch of smaller trains, who promptly get into another wreck, and out them comes yet more trains...it's flaming train wrecks all the way down!

:thumbsup::D

I said before, and I say it again, this is like watching a slow-motion train wreck. You want to look away, but you can't...and it doesn't stop. Ever.

I say leave him alone and allow him to get it out of his system. Let him shake it off himself like a dog that has climbed out of a swimming pool. This is all natural.

It sounds like the guy may have "fallen off the wagon". That's not something folks in that position just shake off on their own.

A fractal train wreck.

(Tangent: fractal wrongness)
