The Trump Presidency (Act V - The One Where Everybody Dies)

The general argument people make then is that the leadership should not be taken to speak for the membership, of course that is exactly their job.

And if the membership thought that it mattered, they'd leave as soon as they had such comments pointed out.

If they don't then presumably they think that's a good idea

But passing legislation achieves nothing unless Trump signs it. And he won't sign if it reduces his power.

That's what a veto override is for.

Pocket Veto
If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a Law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a Law.

Wow. Sam Nunberg (former Trump aide) just had an amazing interview with Jake Tapper on CNN. Says he will refuse a subpoena and they should "come arrest" him. Listening to him talk (live), that is a man on the verge of hysteria.

Does he think it's a bluff and if he says no they will just forget it?

Does he think if he gets sent down Trump will pardon him?

His phone interview with Ms Tur he sounded like a whiny brat.

Sam Nurnberg seems to trying for some kind of variation on "Suicide by Cop" with that statement.
Now they will have no choice but to take him at his word and come arrest him.

Karen and I watched him in a lengthy interview with Gloria Borger, also on CNN.

We were both astounded.

I imagine Mueller’s staff is drafting court documents now for an arrest warrant for contempt of court.

Hell, any halfway competent lawyer could do it in five minutes. Clear case of contempt of court.

In addition to his being arrested, I think that Nunberg's statement that his attorney is probably going to dump him is also coming true, unless the attorney is really hard up for clients...

Can cocaine be used as a drink powder?

They also said that they were worried Nunberg had been drinking prior to dialing in to MSNBC and CNN.

Starting Monday morning, Nunberg began calling several close associates that he was flatly refusing, at this time, to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Three Nunberg friends said they walked away from those conversations fearful that he was “drinking again” and was about to embark on a personal tailspin. They didn’t know it would play out on daytime TV.

Nunberg says his lawyer might well drop him.
No s--t Sherlock. An attorney does not want to represent a client who pretty much just commited legal suicide on nationwide TV. Only attorney who would stick around is one who is really, really, desperate for a client...

I say leave him alone and allow him to get it out of his system. Let him shake it off himself like a dog that has climbed out of a swimming pool. This is all natural.
