You mean the same deal that Toyota and Mazda were all ready negotiating with Obama before he left office?

Meanwhile

General Electric is laying off 12 THOUSAND workers despite Trump’s promise that tax cuts for corporations will stimulate the economy by incentivizing them to raise wages and hire workers.
Other companies laying off workers AT&T, ESPN, Wet Seal, State Farm, Carrier, HH Gregg, JC Penny, Macy's, Lowe's, Pfizer, Comcast, Hershey, GM, Dollar Express AND Weatherford.

The steel industry has laid of hundreds of workers despite Trump’s promise to save steel manufacturing and to use the huge tax cuts for corporations as a means to do so.
 
Trump claims TV anchors sent him private letters praising his ‘performance’ as president.

"A lot of those anchors sent us letters saying that was one of the greatest meetings they've ever witnessed."


This is a lie of course.

That is why the company is building a ‘light industrial city’ shaped like a woman’s shoe in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa, he said. The sprawling campus will feature factories, dormitories, a hotel and a hospital, all bounded by a replica of the Great Wall.

Jesus Christ. That sounds like an internment camp. I wonder if the dormitories will have suicide nets outside the windows like Chinese factories and associated dormitories do for when the workers can't deal with the terrible working conditions? I can't imagine labourers being paid a fifth of what they are will have better working conditions.

President Trump tweeted a couple of days ago that the "Fakies" would be delayed by a week until the 17th - his equivalent of saying it will never happen without actually having to admit it. Presumably it became apparent that some (i.e. too much) effort would have to go into them so the idea has been dropped. :rolleyes:

I believe they have been rescheduled to be two weeks after Melania Trump's Yuge Press Conference where she will be explaining her path to citizenship. She is very organized and has all of documentation in order. The only hold up is that she waiting on Michelle Obama to finish writing her speech.

Unfortunately, he might be right.

Adam Schiff calls for the FISA bill to be withdrawn, as the contradictory messages mean that nobody can tell what the White House's position actually is

Following Trump's tweets, Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, recommended that the FISA bill be temporarily withdrawn.

"In light of the significant concerns that have been raised by members of our caucus, and in light of the irresponsible and inherently contradictory messages coming out of the White House today, I would recommend that we withdraw consideration of the bill today, to give us more time to address the privacy questions that have been raised, as well as to get a clear statement from the administration about their position on the bill," Schiff said on the House floor.
