Comey dropped other breadcrumbs, too: “We also were aware of facts that I can’t discuss in an open setting, that would make his continued engagement in a Russia-related investigation problematic, and so we were—we were convinced, and, in fact, I think we had already heard that the career people [at the Justice Department] were recommending that he recuse himself, that he was not going to be in contact with Russia-related matters much longer.”

hmmmm....

That's kind of an understatement on Comey's part. If this is true, it would make his continued performance as AG untenable.

The GOP tax bill being rolled out Thursday includes a premise that used to be apostasy for Republicans: new debt of up to $1.5 trillion.

So why is the party of balanced budgets willing to support it?

Because, as several conservatives told our colleague Eliza Collins last week: They need a win on tax cuts.

Wrong. It's not because they need a win on tax cuts. It's because they never actually cared about the debt beyond it being something to attack democrats on. Reagan, Bush, and now Trump. Debt, Debt, Debt.
 
Not from where I sit. May be a transient error. The account is currently active with a useless tweet two minutes ago.

I just read that, due to human error on Twitter's side, the account was down for about 11 minutes.
