Cont: The Trump Presidency Part III

Could be the cost of getting competent workers out to the island and getting them shelter, plus the Jones Act (which should be scrapped), plus standard overhead.

Plus actual pay for the worker, of course That's only a fraction of the per hour charge...

Could well be. Given the unusual circumstances it's entirely possible that this is all legitimate. But the general shadiness of the Trump administration, the reputation of the Puerto Rican government for sub-optimal fiscal responsibility and the longstanding tradition of contractors screwing people over means that I want some sort of investigation or at least a good third-party analysis before I trust any of these folks.

Right now we have 3 Republican senators out of 52 ready to take a stand against Trump.

I hope that’s just the beginning.

Me too. These guys peeling away are what I am talking about when I say that some people get tired of lying to themselves at some point. It takes a toll.

I hoped to see it out of white house staff. They have been impressive in convincing themselves to stay on.

On a scale of one to propagandist... how would everyone rate Sarah H Sanders, and also versus Baghdad Bob.

Bonus... what do you think she got for her soul?

I ask because... damn, she's good at it. :(
Seriously. Spicey isn't even in the running, but she stomps Kellyanne and the other blonde.

Yes, but his poll numbers are trending down, ever so slightly, but down. Also, some people reach a point where they can't keep lying to themselves.

"...ever so slightly " being the operative phrase. One hopes that that trend and Nov., 2019 arrive at the bottom together.

Right now they are just outliers. Two aren't running again. When you get a Republican senator who is up for re-election in a competitive state speaking like Flake, that is the signal of the end for Trump.

I agree. We don't have to have an opinion one way or the other before there is sufficient evidence.

Trump is now draining the swamp one precision tweet at a time. Grown up men elected to represent the people take their toys and leave whining to the pre$$titutes because of a mean tweet - well maybe they are a flake and shouldn't be where they were in the first place. :)

Good evening dudalb
And that is one hell of a coincidence that the company is located in the Secretary of the Interior's home town..

Not only is Whitefish Energy from Zinke's hometown, not only does Zinke know the chief executive of the company, but Zinke's son worked for them at one time.
Other than that, they seemed like a perfect company to hire to get the job done. They had 2 full time employees and everything.
Why do people not automatically trust this administration?

What am I missing here? It feels like the sense of skepticism is slipping on this story. This isn't supposed to be a group that relies on coincidence. What am I not getting?

I suspect within the GOP in Arizona is looking right now for a more mainstream candidate to run for the GOP Nomination; 'Chemtrail Kelli" is just too risky.
So, you're saying she's got the nomination locked up. She'll fit right in with Trump and Moore. Congress will not be able to legislate anything but boy will "the libs" be owned.

Kelli Ward was, at first, being propped up by Bannon and Breitbart, but in the last few days two of the Breitbart writers quit in protest, calling Ward an opportunist who accepted their help but betrayed them in the face of establishment machinations. That word would have seeped into the base and at the very least split her support. Whether Bannon is staying on board with her or not, I don't know. I'm not sure he has much choice, but in that, risks alienating a few followers. All the better that this infighting, being the fruits of Trump and Bannon's methods, continue to grow.

(and that chemtrail nickname, courtesy of Mitch Mcconnell, has long been shown to be an inaccurate contrivance)
