Pretty close to half though. And much more than identified Republican. How many identified themselves as liberal? Did they think Hillary was not sufficiently liberal?

I just had to answer that their primary identity wasn't democrat.

Yes you did. I'm reaching back to my earlier contention that I was a conservative, which was somehow questioned, then the subject of RINO and DINO was introduced. Republican and Democrat are artificial proxies for Conservative and Democrat, however they are not synonymous. There are other parties, and there are independents.

I doubt it. ["Niger" will be the new "Benghazi"]

The GOP will suppress any kind of investigation and even if some kind of investigation takes place, the Democrats simply will not make a big deal about it if and when it turns out that it was an operation that just went awry and no-one in the upper reaches of the command structure is culpable.
I'm not sure it's that the Dems won't at least try to make a big deal about it if it is, in fact, a big deal. A large part of it is that the Dems don't have a huge media megaphone to flog the issue publicly. For example, regarding Benghazi, the GOP could have an investigation then their media tools would bleat on it for weeks (months?) keeping the issue alive until yet another investigation got going. Lather, rinse, repeat. For all the right whines ceaselessly about the left wing media, the left just doesn't the media/political connections that the right does.

In that light, it takes a big deal to make a big deal out of a big deal by the left. :)

I'm a conservative. I accept that AGW exists, and is a threat to the Earth. Part of why I oppose Trump.

Anecdotal. The big picture of the GOP makes you an outlier:
Yet when Mr. Trump pulled the United States from the Paris accord, the Senate majority leader, the speaker of the House and every member of the elected Republican leadership were united in their praise.
Linky-poo.

And only 28 percent of evangelicals believe human activity is causing climate change. Confidence that God will intervene to prevent people from destroying the world is one of the strongest barriers to gaining conservative evangelical support for environmental pacts like the Paris agreement.
Linky-poo.

At this summer's Republican National Convention, the party faithful approved their official platform for the next four years. It reads like a denier's Christmas wish list, with nearly every point receiving the full-throated support of the party nominee, Donald Trump: Build the Keystone XL pipeline, cancel the Clean Power Plan, neuter the EPA and ban it from regulating carbon dioxide, outlaw a carbon tax, stop all fracking regulations.
Linky-poo.

And I could go on and on and on and .... But you get the picture.

How could you be a Liberal and not believe that Cultural Appropriation should be banned?

I wouldn't even know about cultural appropriation if not for conservatives searching every corner of social media for people that believe in it.

On the other hand wanting to destroy the environment is a huge central plank of being a modern conservative. Look at how Trump gets huge marks from registered Republicans for doing all sorts of terrible things to the environment.

IMO, one thing's certain... she wouldn't lose any supporters. :p
Even I would be singing the praise of the monarchy!
Sad but apparently necessary to say, no I do not support the idea that the UK head of state should engage in the assassination of the USA head of state. My statement was something called "humour"

I think our PM wants the Trump visit to go ahead so she can stand next to a leader who makes her look like Churchill by comparison. They should make sure Trump meets Jeremy Corbyn though, encountering a real socialist might induce a heart attack...;)

I thought she had corgies instead.
She's down to just two, apparently, having decided not to get any more as she doesn't want to leave any bereft when she dies.

[Completely O/T, but I learned that from a very knowledgeable guide on a recent tour of Windsor Castle and couldn't resist sharing it.]
