I'm only 30 minutes in, it lists the numerous secret agencies in the govt, and describes their influence on US policy, politicians, and the 'deep state'. I can't do a good job of summarizing it.

'So the bureaucracy itself acts as a sort of fourth branch of the government?

I'd be surprised except I learned this in college 26 years ago.

This thread reminds me a little of the spams I used to get a few years ago from dozens of sources, selling the secret CD that nobody knows about and nobody is allowed to own. I remember my mom, when her mind went astray, falling for similar offers of books containing secrets nobody wants you to know. In that case at least one can blame Alzheimer's. In this, who knows?

At this point though our non secret non shadow government is so bad it's hard to imagine the secret one being much worse. I picture them nowadays going around with dustpans and plastic bags.

None of those actions happened in a vacuum. Most were to counter Soviet aggression, which if left unchecked would have been a bad thing.

How about instead of posting anti-American memes like a mindless fool, maybe you should go down the list and read about what was going on in those countries, and learn why we acted in whatever ways we did. Read a hardback book once in a while.

Just look at the past 7 months. "Deep State" has leaked all kinds of stuff to the press about Trump's wrong-doings, and it has kept him in check.

The biggest leaks have come directly from his own White House, not CIA, NSA, NOAA, EPA. This is how the system has always worked, this is why dark, evil conspiracies don't stay hidden from public view too long. This is how we know 9-11 wasn't faked, and how we know Oswald acted alone. Every week there is a new revelation about the inner workings of the dark corners of the government...people just have to take the time to read the news.

Nail on the head, Axxman300. This made me LOL!! I've noticed this "thing" with HDeniers where they express anti-American sentiments that would make Noam Chomsky blush. I wonder if they have ever talked to a WWII veteran and told them that Hitler should have won.
