Brexit: Now What? Part III

Meh, the moment it's costing us money that border will resemble the Stasi's wet dream.
What if the Republic doesn't have to pay for the Renewable Heat Incentive debacle? :p

Did you vote on:
1. The 2016 "extreme surveillance" laws in the UK?
2. The scrapping of the UK's Human Rights Act?
3. The introduction of 28 day detention without trial?
4. The introduction of same sex marriage in the UK?
.... et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

The answer, by the way, is no.
Yep, ordinarily you don't get to vote on individual bills. Ceptimus also conveniently "forgets" that Britons get to vote, with a fair PR system, for their own MEPs.

Bits? They're fighting over financial services, the heart of the UK's economy.

I have said that destroying the rest of the UK economy is a bit of a steep price to pay to reduce the influence of the city.

But you still have morons, many of whom have stopped working, thinking "on balance it will be for the best" but not explaining how.

Dad was quite shocked how many of his friends voted leave.

And of course the architect of such a well thought out scheme is propping up May.

Although that is less bad than a lot of the DUP's other policies.

Don't those all live now on the Spanish Costas, and face the prospect of having to pay their own medical bills?

Compared to the death penalty for gays and for Catholics, yes.

(I may have conflated a couple of points of their agenda, I'm not sure)

I don't think they actually want the death penalty for Catholics, just a return to the days of the penal laws when Catholics weren't allowed to vote, own anything or live anywhere near a town.

The first time I understood this attitude was when, a couple of years ago, I found myself on the job market as a fully qualified accountant and was shocked to discover I was competing against a whole bunch of East Europeans who thought £25K pa was good.

Given the average UK salary is £66K (for my profession) I felt quite competitively hacked off by this unwelcome discovery.
Why because you were no longer being overpaid?

According to the Independent, May is about to make an important intervention that could delay Brexit talks.

The floor is open for speculation.

From the comments

Somebody somewhere
She has been diabetic since the 13th of July 2016?

if you are not familiar with the reference, that was what Dianne Abbot said explained her poor performance in a radio interview

A snap general election?......

If that is the case, getting as many bites of the cherry as is required to get a strongly Brexit-phile government is democracy in action whereas having a second go at the Brexit referendum, now that "project fear" seems to have been largely correct, is somehow undermining the democratic will of the people

Can't be all that important an intervention if it's only going to delay things a couple of weeks.

Upgrade to chocolate hob nobs in the meeting rooms?

David Davis to be replaced by Noel Fielding?

She's finally recovered from the bump on the head she received a few years ago, realised she's been in a dream for the past while, come to her senses and has decided to scrap the whole sorry business, develop a conscience and stop being a petty vindictive little witch?

It's the hobnobs thing. Jaffa cakes were found to be outside the EU definition of 'biscuits' :)

The Dallas option - David Cameron comes out of the shower and Theresa May announces that the last 18 months have all been a dream.
