Merged Obama birth certificate CT / SSN CT / Birther discussion Part II

It was odd to witness the disappearance of two archived news items within 24 hours of being posted to show their content, and watch Michele saying her husband was Kenyan.

My mother-in-law has on countless occasions said that her husband (my father-in-law) is Scottish. He's never been to Scotland (I don't think his parents ever went either). But I guess because he's white no one would actually doubt his actual birth location.

Then there was that not so famous pic of Barack's furniture salesman/missionary grandfather doing what people such as cia might do, at a USAF base....receiving 3rd world (africa) future leader candidate wannabes. It was Hickam AFB, Honolulu. The pic was on Wayne Madsen's website, which of course means it can be dismissed as a fake pic (thank goodness).

Okay, quick suggestion: Check Snopes. All this was debunked like... forever ago...

Snopes ?

Video clip of Michele is still there. "Kenya, Barack's home country".

How did they debunk that anyway?

Here you go Bubba.

The fact that you haven't heard of Snopes says all we need to know about your critical thinking.

Your incorrectly assuming that I havent seen Snopes says all I need to know about you.

Here you go MikeG...have another crack at it....

I get a kick out of people that trust Snopes to tell them what is and what is not.

Bubba, my god it must be a sloooow news day to have to reach this far back to such a completely discredited piece of ******** just to try to stir the pot!

Don't you have anything even a little bit more current or slightly more plausible? Extraterrestrials in the US Congress? Weaponizing of hurricanes (oh wait- didn't you already post something on this already?). Bigfoot seen body surfing off the cost of North Korea? If you are having problems finding something of interest in the USA supermarket tabloids there is always The Mirror in the UK.

No need for Snopes. The birth cert claims have been demonstrated to be absolute drivel in this very thread.

Yeah, fact checking, with, like, links and stuff, is just stoopid. Much better to unciritcally post links to Natural News and long-debunked nonsense, and then run away from it.

Do you have any actual reason to distrust Snopes, or was this just pointless snark?

Body surfing? Bigfoot is more of a laid back longboarder.

Whatever.

Dude, the issue is so dead even Donald Trump has disembarked from the Birther Train.

You're taking references to his heritage and twisting them into some sort of a confession about his place of birth.

The "Birther" claims are moronic. They're stupid. They're thoroughly debunked. I know a few Birthers and most of them concede in private that they're just using "Kenyan" as a euphemism for "******."

You are, quite literally, promoting a dead conspiracy theory as legitimate when even the bulk of its remaining supporters are only using it's rotting carcass as a dog whistle reference to their own racism.

Please, if you're seeking attention, pick up a topic that's a bit more plausible. The Flat Earth, Hollow Earth and "Ruled by Reptoids" theories are all far more plausible than the desiccated husk of Birtherism. You'll also humiliate yourself far less by supporting one of them. At the very least, you'll have more articulate and intelligent cohorts to provide your talking points.

Here's a relevant question....

Why the actual **** is this even still being discussed? Barack Obama's tenure as President is over. Finished. Finito. Finis. He is an ex-President. (hattip to Monty Python)

The notion that this is still a relevant subject of conversation is absolutely ludicrous on the face of it. Nothing from the past eight years is going to change. It happened. It's over. Even if it were remotely possible (which it isn't) that someone somehow magically finds credible evidence that Obama was not a US citizen, it will not magically invalidate the eight years he spent in office.

Get over it, for ****'s sake. Jesus....

Whatever.

Archived news stories go 404 all the time, not much interesting there. If the reporting was legit, there will be other sources to chase down.

It is common in the United States for people to identify with the country of their ancestry. A fourth generation American will often say 'I'm Irish' and a reasonable person thinks nothing of it.

I think that's where you went wrong.

It will be discussed from now until the end of time.

Conspiracy theories are a type of religious cult, they are based on faith. The true believers neither need nor want any evidence that contradicts their religion. Anyone who contradicts the delivered truth is a blaspheming heathen. There really isn't much that can be done to dissuade the truly delusional from their belief in whatever conspiracy theory they have chosen to honor.

The only thing that can be done is to show them where they are mistaken so perhaps less people will be taken in by the cult of whatever the conspiracy theory is.

What's your point?

Even if the image were legitimate, what does it prove?
