Look, we get it, the Nazis sucked all the fun out of antisemitism. Here's the problem, the gas chambers came into existence because murdering Jews by hand was taking a toll on the S.S. troopers assigned to that duty. Their commanders wrote Berlin begging to find a more humane way to exterminate the Jews. Heydrich and Eichmann adapted the gas chambers from the T-4 program as much to give the S.S. a break as to expedite the "evacuation" of the Jews.

The S.S. had already killed over a million Jews in Poland and Russia by the time Auschwitz became fully operational. All done by hand, or with special CO2 trucks.

That would be CO not CO2.

Just to clarify this,

CO₂ is carbon dioxide. Its perfectly safe to breath in. It will not kill you, but like any non-poisonous gas, if the level is sufficiently high, you could be suffocated from a lack of oxygen.

CO is carbon monoxide. It is a deadly gas that will kill you very quickly with a relatively small intake.

While both gases are present in vehicle exhaust, and the amount of CO₂ present is about 10 times greater than CO, its the CO that kills you.

False, as noted in this post, which shows a photo of the small gas chamber at Majdanek along with ruins of those at Sobibór and, as Jeffk keeps reminding you, Birkenau. IIRC an intact chamber used in the T4 program also exists.

Frankly, you keep ignoring what others have posted about this - but, even if you were right, so what? I used to visit two reconstructed historical villages (one from the 1600s, one from the 1800s) and hear people oooh and aaaah assuming features were authentic. That the villages were reconstructed by museum manager types neither made them a "hoax" nor altered what happened in the vicinity in the 1600s and 1800s.

I know that some eyewitnesses made some mistakes on details. I know that some eyewitnesses exaggerated or got confused on certain aspects of what they experienced and saw. I also know that some people who have presented themselves as eyewitnesses, e.g., Alexander Contract, were not actually eyewitnesses. So what?
