Chemtrails nonsense

There is no paperclip icon or upload button on my "Reply to Thread" (advanced) display. However, if you open the "manage attachments" window, there are options for "upload" and "select file."

If you use "Quote" or "Go Advanced" it is right there on the toolbar to the right of the Smilie dropdown.

Should have gone to specsavers. :D

Amused as I might be by that, "chem-trails" are a whole different kettle of crazy.

Yeah they are weird group of believers. One local organization that has formed to stop 'chemtrails' marched in the Local July 4th parade, they got a mix of silence and boos.

I always have to wonder at the mind set - where do they think the pilot who do this live? Out of country??

lol

Most of the time people just don't realize how much airplanes there really is in the air. The see 20 contrails at the same and think it's impossible.

I suggest watching https://www.flightradar24.com .. or following them on facebook, they often post interesting time-lapse videos with like 'morning traffic over US' or 'DHL fleet taking of for the day' ..

Basically there is 10.000 planes in the air during most of the day. From where I live I can see like 5 planes in the air at any moment, and during the day about 1000 flights over where I can see them. When it combines with good weather conditions for contrails, they can cover the sky completely.

Having worked near to a very busy international airport, the bolded above sounds low to me. Aircraft overhead every minute coming and going. Eerily quiet after 9/11.

The pic I have are ones that are at a pretty high altitude. I can see those being contrails. However, it's when they are only about 5000 feet above your head on a hot sunny day, and persistent, that it becomes questionable. I don't think you can blame atmospheric conditions for condensation in those cases. I'll start snapping shots of that kind and posting here just for the benefit of the conspiracy theorists.

Ah... 'just asking questions', eh?

So, why would you not expect condensation at that altitude? What's your experience with atmospheric science?
What kind of additives would be used to keep condensation trails in the air for longer?
And why would these substances be added?

I predict your response will be along the lines of "I don't know, but it sure is suspicious though, isn't it?"

How do you know how high they are? Pretty hard to judge that kind of distance with the human eye.

Depending on how high up they are? How long should they linger? I want to post a photo of what I see every morning but don't know how to do it here. I used to know, but I've lost my touch. I want to know if this looks like normal air traffic.

I live near an airport and I see contrails every day.

Can you tell me how to post a photo of the contrails in my area?

Sure: take a picture of one, then post it.

Why not? Condensation happens at ground level all the time.

Good grief. I can dredge up contrails at 20 feet. Yes you read that right. 20 frakkin' feet. Please tell me that you have not bought the "diamond pattern" BS as well? Please?

ETA: Oh and amusingly, you think that air pressure, temperature and humidity is continuous vertically above your head, for reasons nobody can say.

Next we know you will be spraying vinegar in your back yard. Do you think that works to disperse "chem-trails"? From the ground? To 40,000 feet?
