Dammit, stop linking to tweets and pictures I can't view. :(

The picture is all that counts. An image of Lindsay Graham's statement:

“I do not believe in trial by newspaper article or investigations based on anonymous sources,” Graham said in a statement.

“However, it is important that Congress call the former FBI Director James Comey before the Judiciary Committee to obtain a full understanding of what President Trump may or may not have done regarding the Russian investigation, including General Michael Flynn.”

“I’m hopeful we can reach agreement in a bipartisan fashion on how to move forward in a professional manner,” Graham said. “The country deserves answers to the questions raised and former Director Comey deserves an opportunity to be heard and if appropriate, challenged.”

I don't like this guy at all.

It is Lindsey Graham talking about getting Comey in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He says he will follow the facts wherever they go.

I will note that Lindsey Graham has never liked Trump. He claims he didn't even vote for him.

Most of them don't like Trump, but Graham is one of those who makes public statements appearing to be bipartisan or independent of Trump, and that's where it ends. It's seemed to me that he's just working on promoting his own image.

I'll believe it when I see it

Many GOP representatives have made noises but actions tend to be lacking.

My guess is that the facts will lead him to exonerate the GOP

I think there is a very good chance that Comey publicly testifies about this and it will be very bad for Trump.

By now, I expect that about the only thing that would be good for Trump is for him to declare that he has such serious health problems of one sort or another that he has to resign the presidency almost immediately.

But I thought his doctor said he was in amazing, excellent health. Healthier than any other presidential candidate ever.

That quote seems reasonable to me. I'm not a big fan of Graham by a long shot, but he's no Trump supporter and I think that what he said above is suitably neutral.

They know that these memos are going to come out and that Comey will eventually talk about the conversations. And that they will probably say what the NYT reported. They can't just ignore this. If they don't do it themselves, it will just be leaked and they will look worse than they already do. That's why Jason Chaffetz asked the FBI for the memos.

Lindsey Graham is the senator who on the Daily Show said that the choice between Trump and Cruz was like the choice between poison and being shot, isn't he?

Can the FBI arrest journalist for leaks or can the DoJ have them arrested? I think a judge can use contempt, but I don't know about the others.

No. First Amendment. The leak to the press can be prosecuted, the press itself not. See Manning and Wikileaks.

Don't think so. It's not against the law for a journalist to accept information from a leak. The person potentially breaking the law is the leaker, not the person who receives the information.

Definitely not!

If you actually read the Constitution (as you claim to have done), then you would already know the answer to that question.
