Oh, which polls were untrustworthy?

They predicted that Hillary would get more votes, which she did. They couldn't predict the EV distribution.

It's the standard cop-out response. It's more about providing himself with justification for ignoring the polls than it is an argument.

Last night on CBS Nightly News, they asked a Trump supporter...

"Would it bother you if it was proven that Trump and the Russians colluded to help get him elected?" - or words to that effect.

After a brief pause, the lady responded, "No".

They said this was a typical response from Trump supporters.

They got their guy in. "By all means necessary" comes to mind.

So, even a "smoking gun" is unlikely to sway the true believers.

Of course they predicted the EV distribution. Do you think nobody did state-level polling?

Now, it doesn't take a big error in that polling to flip a swing state, and the errors weren't big, but they were still wrong.

And you wonder why I think his followers are pieces of ****. They literally don't care if their hero is a traitor.

Yes, some of them did. I was refering to the nationwide polls, though I must admit that, as usual, Apple posted something so short, vague and dismissive that it's impossible to know which polls he was refering to.

How can a poll be wrong? They asked people their opinion and the results were close to what actually happened.

And how can odds be wrong? If they predicted that Trump had a 30% chance of winning, for instance, would they be wrong if he won? Of course not. That makes no sense. It's like saying that there's a 1 in 6 chance of getting a 1 on a die roll and saying it's wrong to say that once the die actually rolls a 1.

Trump has been kicking butt since he got in. Can we please leave him alone so he can get some more work done? Just because you personally hate him doesn't beat the fact that he's accomplished more in just a 100 days than anyone else in office.
Oh, ho! My sides, my sides!

Welcome to the forum.

Bump for TheRealnz who oddly has gone silent.

Never mind irked. It must drive you nuts that your precious leader is being destroyed by the fake "narrative".

The whole narrative? It must irk you a great deal that a number of Republicans have expressed serious concerns about Trump + Russia.

Business as usual, right...?

  • Trump flat out lied about his relationship with Putin
  • Trump flat out lied about his role in GOP platform concerning Ukraine
  • Manafort flat out lied about his/Trump role in GOP platform
  • Manafort flat out lied about his deep Russian relationships
  • Flynn flat out lied about his Russian contacts
  • Trump lied by omission about Flynn's contacts
  • Sessions flat out lied about his Russian contacts
  • Carter Page flat out lied about his Russian contacts
  • Various campaign officials lied about Page's relationship with the campaign
  • Roger Stone flat out lied about his Russian contacts
  • Trump is pretending that Manafort was minimally involved in the campaign
  • Trump remains evasive about Flynn to this day
  • Trump Jr acknowledged significant Russian money coming into the business, but Trump now denies
  • Trump openly encouraged Russia to hack Clinton

Narrative my ass.

Your incredulity is particularly off base when we step back and acknowledge the fantastic degree of ineptitude on display from Trump, combined with a lifetime of sleazy/corrupt behavior. Collusion with Russia would be highly unlikely if we were talking about a politician who is even vaguely normal. But we're not.

A healthy dose of skepticism strikes me as in order here, but there is far too much cynicism on display. Yes, my BS alarm goes off when it is claimed that the reason for Comey's firing is that he was unfair to Clinton. Is it possible? Yeah, I think Comey got too far out on a weak branch when he tried to satisfy both sides with his "Hillary was reckless but not negligent," formulation on the email server prosecution.

But to jump from that to "this is all about the Russia investigation," is not skepticism, but cynicism. The Russia investigation is going nowhere, for the simple reason that it's a ridiculous attempt at a Hail Mary after time has expired. Functionally it's nothing more than 9-11 Truth or Obama Birtherism was: a desperate attempt to deny the otherwise obvious legitimacy of the current president.
I could barely believe something so bizarre, so blatantly off base, would be posted here on a forum for critical thinkers. And then President Diahreah Mouth essentially admitted to obstruction of justice. People don't obstruct justice for no damn reason.

Firing Comey is a coverup but hiding your server in a bathroom and deleting thirty thousand emails isn't. Thanks leftists!

If using a private server and deleting emails is a coverup than surely the Bush WH is guilty of one since they deleted millions of them. Or is it OK when a Republican does it?

Trump's baseline mental state is unhinged. But then every few weeks or so he goes on a bender. He's on one of those benders, accompanied by a tweet storm per usual. This morning he threatened Comey...

Trump said:
James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!

I'd love to understand the reasoning behind this (if there is any). Is Trump suggesting that Comey has said things to Trump that Comey would find very compromising ? Wouldn't such things also be compromising - possibly moreso - to Trump ?
