Near death experiences

Think of it this way. What if your sister being raped meant that her soul goes in a totally different direction. A direction billions of years down the road she's be thankful for. Things happen for a reason. Because they effect our eternity.

So the things I am suffering now might have some deeper meaning and purpose?

As much as I like the idea, I'm suffering now.

I could have guessed that. You have no clue what people recovering from rape and other abuse are going through. I challenge you to attend a rape survivor support group and present your philosophy to them. Do you accept my challenge?
Rape doesn't compare to literal hell.

You have experience neither with hell nor with rape. Your naive opinion is rejected.

Do you accept my challenge?
We can't experience hell because love doesn't allow it to exist. It only exists in your mind. I don't care for rape victims, that's not something too bad to go through.

Then there's no literal hell, as you claimed a few posts ago. See what happens when you just make up crap as you go?

That's exactly the sentiment I would like to see you express in the company of rape survivors. But obviously you're too cowardly to do it. That tells me all I need to know about your commitment to your made-up-on-the-fly philosophy.

You know, in over 10 years on this Forum, and a regular on FSTDT this is among the most repulsive responses I have ever seen.

I stopped responding to the OP directly a while ago; didn't want to F.T.T... but what you're responding to is goddamned vile.

I figured it would come down to this - every bad thing is a good thing because it's part of god's grand long term plan which we poor mortals can't second-guess. Don't worry, it will all come right some time in the next billion years.

Pull the handle again. That one came up lemons.

He/she has to believe it to justify the "nothing unbearable ever happens" nonsense. Of course if that was true then no-one would ever commit suicide.

OP isn't trying to justify anything, just trying to rile people up in the most childish way possible.
Since he was already posting here ten years ago, that means he can't actually be a child, but then again, age does not always say something about mental development.
ETA: I'm going to take my own advice and stop (indirectly) feeding the mythological rock dweller. See you guys in some other thread.

Ah, another rape apologist. In the great company of TheAdversary, now banned. My daughter was raped, slipknot. You can go whistle.

'Course not. "Literal hell" doesn't exist. The hell rape victims experience is altogether too real. And, as one who has not gone there, having you say "[rape]'s not something too bad to go through." shows ignorance and lack of civility bordering on malice. Not to mention cruel.
