It occurs to me. This thread will be kind of embarrassing for Mills and company during the next iteration of their operation. A nice, long discussion about their past promises that they can't delete or memory hole.

If there no satisfactorily proven, working prototype in 48 months, I promise to come back and eat humble pie before you, without a fork. My Google Calendar for Friday, February 26th 2021 now has an entry.

Wait a frikken minute. Where did 4 years come from? IIRC, we're supposed to see a working prototype before the year is out. How 'bout coming back on, say, December 24th and giving us a gift of a humble pie chow-down? Even by your own timeline, 4 years is waaaaay too long to wait.


OK, yes four years is too far out. It's just I'm 'skeptical' of a closed loop prototype released so soon. (Note: this is *not* a commercial device.)
I'll take a chance on it for two years from yesterday.

"Proven to work" is a deliciously vague non-criteria, especially given the fact so many of the Mills supporters think the current fuse-blower is "proof" the tech works. "Proven," by whom and by what criteria?

At this point nobody gives a rotting zombie rat's ass about a "proven" prototype. Mills has called the villagers about THAT particular wolf far too many times to have any credibility. If all you have in two years is another round of excuses for why the latest prototype isn't in production don't bother coming back. All you'll get is a fresh roasting for supporting a serial failure.
 
Who cares? The SunCell doesn't work. Even the Mills media about it describes what amounts to an elaborate fuse that blows out. You might as well reference the warp drive of the Enterprise.

The SunCell is an irrelevant dead end. It will never see commercial production. Mills might eventually market a conventional generator using the SunCell name, but it won't be based upon his Hydrino claims.


It isn't blowing out anymore, since they are using molten silver electrodes and have presumably altered / improved the ignition. However, AFAIK the power densities are much lower than previous, until they get to the point where they close the dome.

Screw the prototype and the commercial device. You wouldn't be having these conversations if even one single time Mills made a working model that generates a single solitary watt more output than input.

What Mills has is nada nothing zilch zero nothing......he has nothing but the Emperor's new clothes and a fancy speal about how physicists are all stupid, and that's why they can't see it.

If Mills wants to catalyze DT fusion then he also needs his expensive and not available tritium and there will be the same neutron flux generated! Of course there will be no tritium breeding because it is "highly radioactive" making Mills fusion reactors totally uneconomical.

No fantasies about fusing heavier elements. According to Mills only Hydrogen can shrink, such that the internuclear distance of H2(1/p) becomes small enough that fusion between nuclei becomes plausible. However Mills shows that even at p = 137 it won't be as plausible as muon catalyzed fusion. Given the latter is not practically feasible as an energy source, Mills discounts using hydrino as a means to achieve (relatively) cold fusion. Short chapter closed.
 
Thankfully I'm using one of his working 2001 generators so I have no need to change it for at least another 30 years. Indeed I need to make a provision in my will for it since if it has the lifespan claimed by Mills it is going to outlast me by several decades....


AFAIK, Mills still has the CIHT prototype cell(s) - that was producing multiple times electrical output than electrical input power some years ago - on the premises. At least, it is still mentioned at the website. He may still have plans for it for certain applications. However it's power density was relatively low, and if I recall it suffered from oxidative issues.

The Steorn Orbo jokers claimed they had as much. They didn't.

Claims from inside the company or from their hand picked evaluators are worthless.

Show me a commercially available Hydrino based generator. Until you do, all you have are smoke and mirrors. Promises and reassurances from a team with nearly three decades of failed promises and failure behind them can't be trusted to say, "No, really, it works this time!"

That may explain why you are willing to blindly believe a person - because they have a slightly similar background.

Mills got a B.A. degree in chemistry - the Franklin & Marshall College is a liberal arts university. Mills then went to Harvard Medical School was awarded his medical degree in 1986 (thus his Dr. is medical not physics). Did some MIT courses.

PS My MSc was from a real university, in physics, the last 2-3 years in condensed matter physics. That is why I can easily recognize the obvious ignorance, gibberish and fantasies in Mills book. But anyone with undergraduate courses in physics such as you can do the same, e.g. what are essentially lies about the Schrödinger equation having to include spin and be relativistic because that is the Dirac equation.

An anecdote: One 3rd year pure math course was a research project - pick a topic of mathematical interest and write a paper on it. My paper was on the Dirac equation. It was interesting how just deriving a relativistic counterpart to the Schrödinger equation introduced spin.



Thanks for sharing. You would know then that the Schrodinger equation have a counterpart that is relativistic without spin ; also have spin without being relativistic. Math can do wonders can't it. And sure, the Dirac equation seemed to get both right, even entailing the prediction of the position, but at what expense? The Dirac Sea, where the 'vacuum' has to have essentially infinite charge density and energy density. As I say, skepticism should run both ways.

"Weren't ready for prime time"? What does that even mean? If it's producing "multiple" times the input energy, who gives a **** what the "power density" is? Just scale it up to a full-sized power installation instead of the fantasy of a reactor in every garage; it would still be a huge improvement over current power systems.

If the people who invented steam power thought like this, we'd still be riding horses everywhere!

There are 3 general categories for such citations:

Of 26 patents or patent applications that refer back to this one, all 26 are in category A. And the vast majority (16 out of 26) of those are from BLP, once again demonstrating the incredibly incestuous nature of these organizations.
