The only arrests mentioned in the article are those of attackers who attacked two Berkeley College Republicans. It is those attackers the story says are not affiliated with the University. How many attackers? We don't know. It could be as few as two, which would leave a sizeable number of possible university-affiliated attackers to produce the $100,000 in property damage to the University and a much larger amount of monetary damage throughout the city. Again, we don't know the affiliation of other attackers or Black Blocs. Yet, based on that article, you concluded the $100,000 in damage to the University was caused by people not affiliated with the University. Moreover, you concluded that at least most of the agitators came from the outside and started riots. You do this by equating the victim status of the University with the victim status of the College Republicans and therefore conclude that both sets of attackers and rabble-rousers must be the same group of people. That is quite a bit of strained logic.

The fact is, we have absolutely no idea if the monetary damage was caused by university-affiliated knuckleheads or not. Yet you concluded otherwise. Puppycow, I went to the doctor and told him it hurts when I lift my arm. He said, "Don't do that."

Everyone can look at the comments under the linked facebook post, where sources are provided as well as sources establishing a prior pattern where Milo outs students during his speeches.

The real question is though, why should anyone consider liberals allies? Leftists such as anarchists will take action to stop Milo outing undocumented students, successfully since his speech was cancelled because of it. Liberals on the other hand are the ones who stand there whining about Milo's freedom to out students being suppressed by those evil anarchists in black bloc outfit.

Why does Milo deserve the rioters? Milo has never been violent. As far as I know, he's never hurt anybody except perhaps for witty bitty feelings. Furthermore, Milo stands ready to debate anybody anytime about his views and the claims he has made. He allows antagonistic questions at his talks and responds in good faith (albeit with some snark).

I'll address it right now: I'm not anti-speech. I often disagree with Milo but I agree with him on a few points. Regardless, he's definitely a troll, but that doesn't mean that what he has to say isn't worth listening to, and I disagree with those who try to use intimidation and violence to silence him. Good or bad, let him talk and challenge what he says with more free speech. Fight ignorance with knowledge.

As usual, extremists love to silence their opposition, whether they be on the left or the right, and I oppose both.
