Merged SCotUS nominee - Neil Gorsuch

Biden did say that. Check for yourself. It was in response to a hypothetical opening on the SC if one became available.
This issue has been previously explained, I believe even in this thread. You're wrong.

But okay, let's play this childish game a little. If Biden had at some point said, "Y'know, I think people in the supermarket express checkout who have more than 10 items should absolutely stand their ground. Their money is just as good as anyone's," would you consider that to bestow you blanket permission to behave like a pimpled ass at your local Piggly?

The SCOTUS would seem to agree with me on this one. If you have an argument more compelling to the contrary, I'm sure you'd make millions presenting it.
Technically, a majority of justices sitting on the bench when the most recent case was presented to them agree with you. Other justices, as well as no small number of legal minds, have disagreed. So sorry.

I don't think I'm extreme

The fact that you think everybody who disagrees with you is a leftist, and an extreme one at that, shows that you're an extemist.

I would say people on the left like you are extreme.

Just the other day you claimed not to remember calling me "far-left". So which is it?

I realise you won't answer this because it threatens your worldview to do so, but how do you define "far-left"?

I hope you'll excuse me rearranging the order of your post.

You answered your own question before asking it:

The fact that you think everybody who disagrees with you is a leftist, and an extreme one at that, shows that you're an extemist.

From the Alt State Dept twitter account:

"SCOTUS nom Neil Gorsuch founded a group during his prep school days called 'Facism Forever Club'. In normal times, this would eliminate him."

Facism Forever, eh?

I'm sure he has grown out of his fascist youth.

I realize that we were all kind of strange in high school, but while I was pretty right wing (although even I could see the John Birch guys were nuts), facism? Not something to be proud of, even as a clueless high schooler.

This is why pieces of paper with words on them (or equivalent) are such valuable legal assets (and/or liabilities :9).

It's kind of the same game as "Due Process" and the FISA court. They get to dance away on the excuse that there is some kind of process and that's all that's required, right?

That's the "process" part of due process. There are other Supreme Court-bound lawsuits starting to focus on the "due" part of it, which is how legitimate must be the justification the government must make to support a law. Can they pass a law for one (constitutional) reason that is really, and publicly admittedly for another self-serving reason?

Yes it was previously explained somewhere on this forum by me.
Since you seem to hold firm in your belief I am wrong on this statement, and that Biden never made it, here it is from the horses mouth.

Huh...

I got a feeling the name "Fascist Forever" was meant ironically because a number of people on the left label any conservative group "Fascist".

If you are going disqualify people because they did something stupid in their high school or college days, you disaqualify just about everybody in the US.

I didn't say anything of the sort. I just found the "stupid" a bit specific.

It is just one piece of evidence, not the only reason to label him a fascist.

Yes. It would have been better for the process.

Of course, it would have required the members to defend themselves. In particular, you could call out those who supported his previous appointment (which was most of them) and ask why not now?

Make them take a stand. As it is, they can hide behind the leadership and say it was never brought to a vote. Bring it to a vote and make them vote no.

You know what? I don't think he would have been rejected. There were enough republicans who know him and know he would be good.

And his pro-4th amendment stances show that he's not a fascist. But whatevs, let's look at a joke he did in college and not on his actual positions laid out in official court documents...
