Did you or anyone notice that in the second image, the "vaporized" electrodes, while not in as good condition or as well-lit as "before," are very much still there?

No, it will not work, and this bunch will not produce a working model this year, nor any other year.

What caught my eye was the ridiculous method to capture the energy. If I understand it correctly, they power a giant light bulb then capture the light with photo-panels. Why not draw the power directly from the power source of the light bulb.

Sounds a bit like a home-grown Dyson sphere.

It's even sillier than that, SezMe. The "light bulb" is so inefficient that it produces comparatively enormous amounts of heat and very little light. Yet, instead of using the heat, they are fixated on using the light. The heat is treated as though it is a nuisance rather than an asset.

Yeah, I posted then kept reading seeing many others covering the same nonsense better than I. I should have skipped the posting step. :o

It seems to have been an asset through the busy work it offers.

I'll give you that he could use a transformer and a 30 kw generator to hit the numbers, but you still have to have a 30 kw generator and a 700 lbs transformer! Not exactly inconspicuous objects. Further, pushing 5000 amps on the low end would require massive cabling that would also be blatantly obvious.

These seem like vastly different statements to this one:

No commercial power source known to man can do that.

If there was a sniff of truth in this governments and corporations would be fighting tooth and nail for a piece of it.

That is irrelevant to your now utterly discredited statement: "No commercial power source known to man can vaporise 6mm tungsten electrodes in seconds".

Yeah there's that, and the fact that there is infinite scope to put whatever apparatus is necessary to light up the electrodes out of shot.

I'm sure you were laughing when I told people to buy Bitcoin at 10 bucks a coin as well.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I have never had any dealings with you other than in this thread, and I have never read any threads on Bitcoins...

Hmm. The irony here is striking: michelsuede proclaims his ability to make correct guesses (bitcoin would rise in value) by making a wrong guess (MikeG laughed at his bitcoin advice).

Seems like nobody's infallible after all.

michaelsuede is a master of deception via induced inference. Pay attention to the exact words he's using: "no commercial power source..." and that is the point, there's no commercial model of a thingamajig that vaporizes a tiny rod of tungsten in 6 seconds (or what their fantasy tells) because such product would have no market. Common sense says such feasible "power source" designed for such absurd stunt should be bespoke.

But what's is much more ordinary is michaelsuede's manipulation. Look how he takes his "no commercial power source..." and appends "known to man" to bring us to the field of the miraculous and at the same time conceal the "commercial" bit that guarantees him to look like a bonafide debater.

I'm afraid this whole thing is a scam and they are very keen at it because they survived a quarter of a century and gathered 70 million thalers in the way, and you know how? probably by using people like us to try their foolish speech and get free feedback on what goes unnoticed and what is contended, and how to get their way around the last, at least with the foolish masses prone to awe and the few among them with big pockets.

That piping looks like standard domestic copper water piping with standard soldered fittings

http://www.screwfix.com/c/heating-plumbing/pipe-fittings/cat831504#category=cat831562

Those fittings have a rim used as a stop and are designed to use with low temperature soldering (I've done a few things in plumbing myself at home using that -the connexion for the dishwasher and a new bathroom-). The fittings in the image are typical of refrigeration, and they use high temperature welding -the lowest temperature is using mixes of copper with silver at some 800°C-. That discolouration is typical of that welding process (I tried it myself unsuccessfully while making a working model of a beer coolers with friends, but I've seen how it's done).

But I would like to see michaelsuede's yada yada turned into an explanation about what that fancy pansy copper piping is doing in Mills' apparatus.

Man claims to be on the verge of building a free power source that breaks the known laws of physics for nearly 30 years, without ever producing anything, no power source and no justification for ignoring the laws of physics.

He then proceeds to post a youtube video where he produces a bright flash.
His supporters here proceed to claim that he could only ruin a big lightbulb if he has actually invented a new kind of power source. They are proven wrong, but double down on their assertions about vaporizing tungsten, while ignoring the multiple elephants in the room:

-The machine can't work as described.
-Even if it could, it does not currently function.
-Using magical hydrogen to generate electricity, then power a lightbulb and then collect only the tiny amount emitted as light is a ludicrous application.
-The theoretical implications of hydrinos alone would have ensured Mills' immortality and all the best and brightest minds in the world to help him develop his device, but instead, there's nothing.
-Mills has claimed to be on the verge of a breakthrough for 25 years without ever producing anything viable.
-He is covering his tracks by deleting his earlier claims, rebooting his company, and making the same claims he's been making for decades all over again.

So, either this talk about tungsten rods, megawatts and molten silver is some kind of diversionary tactic, or Mills' supporters are completely delusional.

He's also really crafty in nearly always claiming that the next stage will be the "contract" stage, so he has a ready excuse "couldn't get the terms etc." Of course that is ridiculous but so is the rest of the scam.

.........That discolouration is typical of that welding process.......

That looks like ordinary soldering to me, using standard fittings. All standard plumbing. Soldering uses a small butane blowtorch, a flux, and some lead-replacement solder. It certainly isn't welding, in that welding involves at least partial melting of two parts into each other.

These soldered joints, incidentally, can easily be taken apart by a few seconds of heat from a blow torch.

I soldered with an almost equal technique some 30 and 25 years ago using similar fittings and 50%tin-50%lead solder of the Argentine brand Hidrobronz. It melts at 235°C. With them you got what you see in your video: clear boundaries between the solder and the pipe, or dripping. I used stearin to control temperature by area and prevent drippings.

For refrigeration the fittings are the same kind but look how thin they are, and the discolouration is uneven, extended and more blackish than silverish. That is what I got using common welding bars, made mostly with copper, and MAPP without an oxygen tank (I can have a minimum of both MAPP gas and propane tanks and no oxygen, otherwise my home fire insurance is void). That discolouration is gotten when you pass what is called here the lanza (spear), that is, the cone of almost white flame at extremely high temperature, over the copper pipe and around the welding material that partly vaporizes.

I've just took a look again to the whole CNN video only paying attention at the thingamajig, and you may be right if the soldering material is poor in tin and the person doing it used a piece of leather of other material to smooth the junctions. The whole copper thing looks like a DIY project and I wonder what the heck did Mills with the money, as tens of millions are enough to hire a good prop maker with more skills and imagination.

[I'm already laughing at the likely argument that it is too cheap to be some staging]

A normal butane blow torch produces the same discolouration. It takes a few days to show up.

I reckon any of us could put together an impressive list things we were right about in the past that are equally irrelevant to determining the factually of these claims.

That's a damn good point.

All this time we've been discussing the energy needed to vaporize the tungsten when we have photographic evidence a large portion of it was still intact!

We've been talking about how to replicate the effects of an elephant gun when Mills and company are actually firing a Red Rider BB gun. This drastically reduces the energy needed.
