President Trump: Part II

There are points where even the Right won't compromise with Trump.

Like funding the wall.

But Trump will just keep extending the date the wall construction will start until people quit asking, like Melania's press conference and his plan to prevent conflict of interest which ended up amounting to a token gesture.

He has a limited repertoire and the patterns are easy to spot. He makes an unsupported claim, "millions of illegal voters". His team claims Trump has seen the evidence. (Hint, check Bill O'Reilly and Infowars for the source of his claims.) Then in an interview someone finally pins him down asking for the evidence. Trump then switches to, "Well we are going to find out."

Now the voter fraud claim has the standard split GOP response, some stay quiet, have very little to say, generally respond with, "I haven't seen that evidence," or, "You'll have to ask him about that." Paul Ryan typifies that response. You can see him believing he can manipulate Trump or at the very least ignore him. Ryan almost certainly thinks not having a POTUS veto is all he needs, let Drumph make a fool of himself. That's going to be short lived when Drumph makes a blunder that causes the country serious damage. But I digress...

The other GOP legislator reaction comes from all the Trump followers or coat tail riders. They repeat the voter fraud claim in interviews ignoring for the most part that the news media adds the words, no evidence, or false claim whenever it comes up. Could be they are still buying the con, or it might be they also listen to infowars and get the remainder of their news from Fox.

Actually, they are proffesional claqueurs: Trump took 20 people to the CIA: they were the ones giving a standing ovation.
He has done this at any of his rallies, and he is still doing it.

This is very well documented.

Yeah quite possibly. What I mean is that the appearance of popularity and the insistence that Trump is popular and that the people love him is hugely important to his political goals and that is why he spends so much time discussing it.

It is hugely important that he is seen to be popular and thus right. Moreso it's hugely important that he is seen to discredit anyone who suggests he isn't. All dissent is untrue and anti-American and most importantly, anti what the people want.

He's building up the cult. In Trump We Trust. It's insidious. It's nasty. It's scary.

:eye-poppi

The State Department's entire senior management team just resigned.

Then suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, Kennedy and three of his top officials resigned unexpectedly, four State Department officials confirmed. Assistant Secretary of State for Administration Joyce Anne Barr, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Michele Bond and Ambassador Gentry O. Smith, director of the Office of Foreign Missions, followed him out the door. All are career foreign service officers who have served under both Republican and Democratic administrations.

Kennedy will retire from the foreign service at the end of the month, officials said. The other officials could be given assignments elsewhere in the foreign service.

In addition, Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security Gregory Starr retired Jan. 20, and the director of the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations, Lydia Muniz, departed the same day. That amounts to a near-complete housecleaning of all the senior officials that deal with managing the State Department, its overseas posts and its people.

“It’s the single biggest simultaneous departure of institutional memory that anyone can remember, and that’s incredibly difficult to replicate,” said David Wade, who served as State Department chief of staff under Secretary of State John Kerry. “Department expertise in security, management, administrative and consular positions in particular are very difficult to replicate and particularly difficult to find in the private sector.”

There is a simpler answer. Look at his behavior in light of the fact he has a pathologic narcissistic personality disorder and it all makes predictable sense.
Some time ago, I looked at the details of that disorder on the Mayo Clinic website (the first I came across) and holy ****, it was eerily descriptive of the man.

That is truly great news! If Trump could get rid of all leftists in these positions, he would be much further ahead.

Careful what you wish for.

Since you have no idea what the left stands for or what liberalism is, you might find yourself in a regime you not only dislike, but one that specifically makes your life a lot less pleasant.

You make these comments like you just landed on this planet. Would you like to try and list the issues I disagree with this administration on?

You have this need for me to define the left for you, it is just more hiding on your part because you refuse to be honest and admit what you are.

Once you respond, we can waste everyone's time discussing ridiculous things you should already know, including my take that Trump is much better IMO than Hills.

Indeed. It appears he reads "All are career foreign service officers who have served under both Republican and Democratic administrations" and immediately thinks "leftists". This does not seem like the normal understanding of what would be left-wing.

Isn't the left a monolithic beast whose sole purpose is to get rid of guns and let muslim mexicans run FEMA camps?

Maybe Trump should run the entire US civil service from the oval office.

Lol
He seems to already be doing that.
Would you like to comment on the cowardice slugs who walked away from doing their non political job? No probably not!

Lol
Your side is always hiding what they are. Would you like to comment on them quitting their non political job?

If it's non political, why do you think they are "leftists"? You really should provide your unusual definition so that we know what you mean.
