While I respect Lewis for his 1960's historic activity, to call Trump an illegitimate President Elect is shameful and borderline treasonous.

Neither Russia nor anyone else have been proven to have interfered with the voting process itself. All the hacking did was expose the Democrap shenanigans behind the scenes. Did whomever hacked the Dems have any hacked info at all on the RNC or Trump? I'm not aware of anything other than that unproven dossier that was dishonestly published without verification that a simple allegation in it was true.

On the other hand all of the emails from the DNC and Podesta are known to be accurate.

While I don't agree with Trump using social media to counter this kind of crap, I do understand why he does it. The mass media certainly won't call it for what it is...
 
i agree that Lewis has no good reason for his statement, and all institutions (including the Democratic party and Hillary Clinton) have acknowledged his electoral victory.
Trump has reason to criticise him for this remark.

But he is out of line to attack him for his work, past or present.

It's another of those cases were Trump could have scored big if he didn't use his twitter account without letting someone screen it.

You're clueless about politics. Who gives s damn about reaching out to the fools who voted against him. They have zero power, and they will never vote for Trump. They need to be defeated not courted or compromised with.

Trump said nothing about race and yes his district is crime ridden, just like every district the left has control of. Your side made it about race like your side makes everything about race. How do you figure that, it's exactly what he should be attacking him for. That's the only thing he should be attacking him for. No one disputes his heroism from the past, Lewis and the rest of the libs are still living on his past work.

Surprisingly enough I can mostly agree with that. However, that disappoints many of the posters on this Forum that want to continue to argue about it.

However, I do disagree that it should be screened by his advisors, but contend that he should have enough self discipline that his twitter account doesn't need screening.

In addition, I'll also contend that there's been more division and divisiveness during the past 8 years of the Obama Administration that in all of the history of the US, except for the period leading up to the Civil War. I don't think any of us want to repeat that.

Look at the threads including the ones you've commented in. People are ready to fight and fight hard. The rhetoric needs to be cooled and get back to some realistic disagreements, not this over the top bombastic crap we're seeing now...

Trump the looser is going to be governing a nation that has many millions of criminals including black ones. He can't criticise someone who governs over many times less. Trump what a loser.

I've also heard it said that Trump did not get Americas best to vote for him I'm told It's been said he got their racists, liars and criminals to vote for him and I guess some of his voters were decent people, but if people are voting for Trump, theyre not the best.. not the kind of people you would want voting for a presidentn I mean they had a chance and look what happened.

You might say That trump is only inheriting the criminals. And that may be true. Maybe but to some, he is the one who wants to be the leader of criminals and Im just asking, what type of person wants to be the leader of criminals? If this were true, which I am told it may very well be. I don't know why anyone would vote for someone who wants to lead more criminals than any other leader in the U.S.A.

Do people in the U.S like crime? I'm just asking.

This post summarizes the elitism shown by many on the left - voting for Trump, by itself, marks you as a lesser person, and one they feel in a perfect world they would not even want to vote, allowing the "better" side to rule.

I do not get the support or even enthusiasm for Trump. But the way it's being caricatured and dismissed is not the way to go. IMHO, of course.

Race riots, Vietnam, integration, the ascendancy of the women's movement, assassinations... there was arguably more division in the US in any one year of the 60s than at any other time.
