While the Battle of Britain was an awesome victory of British aviation against Germany, it was a tactical success that required international assistance to follow through to strategic victory. I'm not positive, I'll have to look it up in Wikipedia, but I seem to recall the US helped a bit.

And I'm pretty sure the US helped the UK with new weapons after the British dropped rifles and ran from Dunkirk, a retreat strangely considered a "victory" of some form.

I never said the US didn't assist in WW2. I said you didn't assist when we were about to be invaded by a dictator. This would be the thing that could never happen according to Logger.

With regards to the Falklands those missiles were free were they? I don't think selling arms was what Logger had in mind when he was beating his chest about how no dictator could ever invade a country whilst the US is about. Also by that metric France must have been allies with the Argentinians as they'd supplied them with the Exocets that caused us so much trouble.

The Obama administration held the automakers to the deal but other than being in power when the final payment was made, Bush bailed them out. Your ignorance is becoming embarrassing.

Bush started two wars and left taxpayers to pay for them under Obama. Bush bailed out the banks resulting in millions of American taxpayers losing their homes. Bush sent the U.S. into one of their worst resessions in history. Bush took a record surplus under Clinton and turned it into a record debt in less than two years.

Your bragging about Republican control of the White House, House, and Senate is rather premature if you look back in history. The results of that the last two times were disasterous.

But I am Canadian and very happy about this. Everytime the U.S. elects a Republican president the U.S. becomes less competitive in areas of science, technology, and medicine. The last time Canada made up a lot of ground to become leaders in those areas. I think once Trump and tge good old boys return the U.S. to the 1600s, you will have fallen so far behind you will never catch up.
