President Trump

No, no, you don't understand. He was playing a role but is actually a reasonable, good guy. He'll pivot now for sure! I mean, didn't you see his wonderful acceptance speech?

I'm almost there. Where's the nearest Trump administration re-education center? I may need full immersion.

Hence, my suggestion she should own them.

But she doesn't. I'm surprised Trump didn't try and buy them. But there may be a part of Trump that likes them out there. A trophy wife that's beautiful and a sex fiend. It also puts him in a power position with his wife. "See, this is your background".

This is your pro-education plea, is it? Well, good luck. Not quite sure I get the strategy, but good luck.

My pro education plea came a long time ago, and I've been pretty vocal with it.

The point that is flying over your head is that I'm done. It's too late. Education didn't work.

Are you just messing with me? I'm being pretty clear here.

We should let it rest here. I didn't think your response to someone sharing an interesting article made sense, and I still don't.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has been asked to join President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team.
Kris Kobach*was the architect of the most racist law in modern American history. SB 1070 passed in Arizona in 2010. What did it mean? If you have*brown skin or an accent, police had a right to stop you, detain you and demand you*prove your citizenship.*

Another effect it would have is to give the families of terrorist great incentive to prevent them from becoming terrorists in the first place.

It would only serve to polarize people; push some away from terrorism and others toward it.

Hell, just look at what's happening to this country alone. And that's without people of one political orientation even threatening death for the families of another political orientation.

It's not an intelligent, logical, or reasonable solution to any problem.

Trump's numbers, however, are baffling. Who the hell lies 71% of the time?

The future President of the United States of America... :(

Nothing that impeachment can't take back. Can anyone imagine Trump and his family keeping their fingers out of the till for four whole years?

Given his propensity for lying during depositions, he'll hopefully perjure himself during the T.U. case. Then the GOPers will surely impeach him, because that's why they impeached Bill Clinton, right? It had nothing to do with sex; it was all about the perjury.

No, not even close. Most rural counties cannot pay for basic services without subsidies. Road maintenance is a perfect example. The asphalt for paved roads to homes spread out is outrageously expensive. So is tying those homes to electricity and communication services. Emergency services also cost a lot more per person. There are no economies of scale that you get in urban areas. Property values also are a tiny fraction and incomes are less.

No actually roads are not that expensive, it isn't what has our country and every city deep in debt.
My brother has a 3,000 square foot home on a 3 acre lot 20 miles from the nearest town. Me, I live in a 1000 square foot condo in Seattle. My condo is appraised at 3 times the value as his house. I pay many thousands a year more in property taxes than he does.

Thousands of people around you and you can't figure out that those thousands cost a lot more than your brother does.
More people per capita in rural areas rely on food stamps and government assistance.
A drop in the bucket to what it cost to educate the thousands around you, a little investigating on your part would show that schools are the largest expense by far than food stamps and government assistance. You're also forgetting the cities suck up more government assistance than rural areas simply because there are more people.
I have seen the run down every year of state taxes collected vs state revenue distribution per county in the State of Washington and EVERY YEAR the three most populous counties pay much more in tax revenues than they receive in services and every year the most rural counties receive more services in dollars than they pay in tax revenue.
That's because not many live there. But if what you say is true, you could certainly show us the numbers.

It may be insulting but it's true. Change is a constant in the cities. You're inevitably living around different cultures and massive change. It's adapt or die. I'm originally from a small town in Iowa and they are stuck in their ways.

What changes in the cities?

You act as if rural folks are just stuck in their conservatism but you ignore that the cities are stuck in liberalism for decades. They've been run by libs before you were even born, which of course is why they're such **** holes.

White House COS is not all that powerful a position on paper;the basic job description is pretty much Office Manager for the President.
It's the lack of experience that puzzles me as to why Trump would want him in that specific position. If Trump wants him around, just appoint to some kind of media advisor, but put somebody who knows about administration as the COS.

Jeez. Follow the money.

Donald, Won't Be Beholdin' to Any Moneyed Interests, Trump is so beholdin' to the Mercers that it ain't funny. Mercer is the puppetmaster behind Bannon, he probably has a mortgage on his soul. He's also the ringleader of the Sessions, Stone, Bossie, Coulter clique and the paycheck for Conway.

He can't put a fool like Bannon in a cabinet position, so he gives him logistical control of the daily schedule, who gets access, etc... Trump's used to having handlers do all that stuff, anyway. Chief of Staff is the perfect role by Trump's standards. Breitbart in the White House. I must say I never thought I'd see the day that that could happen.

And CoS in a Trump White House is more important than with other personalities. He has the attention span of a gnat. He is swayed by the last person who spoke to him on a topic, whether it's immigration or the best pizza in town. Being the person who decides whether Ryan or Gohmert gets in that morning is yuge.

And Russian state hackers will steal every electronic communication Trump, his family and friends, and political/business allies have ever made-- followed by Assange releasing them on the internet in a slow trickle calculated to maximize political damage and personal embarrassment. After which the combined alt-right/alt-left will demand Putin and Assange be awarded co-Nobel Prizes along with their faces added to Rushmore for draining swamp Trump.

Unless, of course, there's some other agenda outside of transparency. But I'm sure that's not the case.

You want numbers? Here are just a few. There are 39 counties in the State of Washington I listed the most populous county where Seattle is and 6 of the least. You can download the entire report if you want at http://www.ofm.wa.gov/fiscal/expenditures_and_revenues/default.asp

County revenues percent Expenditures percent
King County 6,896 42% 4,464 27%

Garfield County 3.6 .02% 4.9 .03%
Wahkiakum 4.3 .03% 7.3 .04%
Ferry 11.4 .07% 16.7 .10%
Skamania 13.3 .08% 20.03 .12%

I DON'T care that rural people are conservative and city folk are generally liberal. My problem is that rural conservatives are dictating policy that is outsized in proportion to both their population AND their per capita contribution to tax coffers.

That they think that ****** creationism should be taught in schools when it has ZERO basis in science. That us city folks should get our morals from the Bible and think that the government should be promoting that nonsense.

I don't care what God you pray to, but keep your God out of my face and my government.
