What's next? A Trump presidency prediction thread.

That's not the only way to raise the money. We could also tax remittances to Mexico. There's a lot of money there ($24.8 billion in 2015), even a 1% tax would add up.

Such a move would be a red flag for migrant workers from everywhere. It would also open the US to retaliation .

Let's hope he completes his term. You're better off with a bumbling narcissist with the attention span of a toddler as POTUS, than with an anti-gay anti-woman religious fundamentalist who actually knows how to get things done.

We already have Pence calling the shots. Didn't you get the memo?

Kasich did. If Kasich was to be his VP (Trump's original choice) than the deal was he would make all the decisions. Effectively making the VP the actual President.

There's no reason to believe that it's any different now.

That's if you believe Kasich's account. But his account is disputed, and furthermore, it doesn't even make sense. If such an offer was floated, it probably wasn't genuine. After all, there's no way that Kasich could ever hold Trump to it. The deal would be altered.

Doom.

But seriously, I'm worried that the whole country will follow Kansas. Look how Republican policies of low taxes and government cuts has worked for them.

1. Trump is convicted of fraud (Trump University)
2. Trump is impeached and thrown out of office. Both GOP and Dems rejoice.

Not rejoicing if Pence becomes Prez. He's even worse, if there could be such a thing.

I predict he won't build a wall, but will build another fence that will end up covering some weak spots in the existing arrangement. He will call it 'a barrier'. He will claim that Mexico paid for it, albeit indirectly, via raising of import tariffs.
Well he keeps saying we should have kept Iraq's oil - maybe he can just threaten to take Mexico's oil if they don't pay up in cash.

Of course I believe Kasich's account. Have you seen Trumps inability to concentrate for more than 10 minutes?

Even he must know he's over his head.

the issue with once you make your bed, you have to lie in,
sadly you don't often realise exactly what bed you've made until it's too late....

Why would he know that? If he's as bad as you think, wouldn't Dunning-Kruger keep him from recognizing it?

Repeal of the Estate Tax is one of the first bills to cross the desk of President Trump. He signs it into law and gives a short speech on how this will protect family farms and working class Americans.

President Trump nominates judge Roy MooreWP of Alabama to replace Scalia on the Supreme Court.

I think he might nominate Ted Cruz. He's got a strong law background, the conservative base will like it, and it gets rid of a potential 2020 challenger.

Just going to blatantly steal from Atrios:
Once again we'll discover that nobody cares about the deficit, that tax cuts for the rich are always affordable, and Dem failures to spend the money on nice things, or at least advocate spending money on nice things, when they're in power is never rewarded.
