Hillary Clinton is Done: part 4

Cheeky request from a relative newbie.

I have enjoyed reading a lot of this thread, but certain aspects spoil it a bit, and wondered if only for the last 24 hours before the polling stations close, we could refrain from quoting people. It might make things a little less clear, but it would stop me being exposed to boring bull ****.

Anyway, roll on the end of this election, and please stop me having to hear or talk about Trump for at least 2.5 years. But he can run again.

How many times are you guys going to vote for Hillary? I already voted for her once. I intend to vote at least 20 more times tomorrow.

To be clear, you think praising every Rep one mentions while demonizing every Dem one mentions is not indicative of at least leaning Republican?

Not sure how you get that from what I wrote as I believe what I stated is antithetical to the position in your question.

Issues of Democratic or Republican, to my considerations aren't as important as a candidate's Progressive or Conservative stances on issues. For instance, I see very little difference between Hillary Clinton's and George W. Bush's political issues stances. They are both neoconservatives even though one is Republican and one is Democratic.

I'm of the opinion that both Big Dog and Hillary tend to lean conservative on a lot of issues that are important to me and which I lean strongly to the Progressive political left upon. If Hillary kept the same policy positions she has but had an R after her name instead of a D, I feel that most people here would switch their opinion of her. My battle is against conservatism (as well as corporatism, and authoritarianism) in US public policy, not Republican or Democratic party affiliations.

Openly misrepresenting facts in a desperate attempt to avoid, as you your self said, looking like a fool.

Bit late for that init?

The response:

She'll get on with Cheryl and "we'll get in a bad place." Hmm, seems like that has happened before, huh? Drink, drank, drunk.

OHHHHHH, what do we do with a drunken Lady, what do we do with a drunken lady, early in the evening?

Seriously? Without any other context that email exchange would not suggest 'sober' in the sense of opposite to drunk. It sounds much more like reminding her of the mission of the meeting, agreements or information she needs to secure etc.

Incredible how literal-minded people can be when it suits their purposes, and how... let's say, metaphor-minded they become when it doesn't.

My apologies, I forgot that some people are looking at politics from such a skewed angle that they can claim one of the most progressive senators is equal to a staunch conservative. I still can't quite fathom how one can have such a distorted view of the political spectrum, but it apparently is possible.

Fortunately we have plenty of context!

1. Hillary's history, see #drunkhillary for more details.
2. the line that says "I'm worried she'll get on with Cheryl and we'll end up in a bad place."
3. "I think you should call her and sober her up some." and you think "sober her up some" means "remind her of the mission." That is a "curious" interpretation of the phrase "sober up."
