Trump runs for POTUS/ Trumped Up! Part VII

So, we're in agreement, then. The only difference seemingly is that I express my opprobrium and move on. (See: Trump/Rape thread.)

Is it "Let's Put Tony On The Rack Day"? Does anyone have any doubt as to your various opinions? Does anyone think that Tony's going to be swayed by their arguments? This is all virtue signaling, I'm afraid.

Virtue signalling is a horribly abused term. It is a way of denying that someone is actually acting on his sense of principle.

As far as putting Tony on the rack, I have simply tried to answer his question. Tony explicitly asked, "What is so unreasonable about suggesting he may have actually banged her?" I was operating under the obviously mistaken impression that he wanted to know the answer.

If you really think it is so bad for me to keep on saying that that Donald Trump is a sexual predator that is a attracted to his daughter and so he may have banged her, you should just stop responding to me.

ETA: haven't I pretty clearly stated that I think that Donald may have banged Ivanka. And by may, I don't even mean probably. More like I don't think it is far fetched and would not be at all surprised if it really happened.
The infantility of your spam-like repetition is a sight to behold, even for you, and that's saying something.

And as long as I'm taking you to task, how about you and logger getting a room together, and stop polluting threads with your empty back and forth neenering. It's beyond tedious.

Put me on ignore if you don't like reading my posts. I don't really give a ****.

Trump's comments on his daughter (or Paris Hilton as a kid, for that matter), are disturbing enough.

But what really gets me is his inability of him (and many of his supporters) to see them for what they are: a total lack of understanding how they are perceived by the rest of the world: this shows an almost pathological lack of empathy.

I emphatically agree.

A gunman kills dozens in Florida and Trump's first tweet says that he is overwhelmed with people contacting him to congratulate him on being right.
A bomb explodes in NYC and one of his first tweets is "best wishes, warmest regards, and condolences to the families of the victims." It is obvious that Trump finds emotions so baffling that he has no idea how to communicate grieving people. Other examples are too numerous to count.

If he has any common sense left at all , I don't think Trump will want to get involved in starting a TV channel.

I find that to be a rather bizarre thing to say this late in the game. When has Trump ever exhibited common sense?
Trump will do anything to avoid the title of loser. If starting a TV station helps him save face then he will start a TV station. He wants to do it with other people's money so that if his anti-Midas touch kicks in again, he can grab some cash, walk away, and brag about how he once again made money off a failing business.

Donald is apparently going to write his campaign a $10m check because is broke.

The great businessman can't manage to raise sufficient funds?

I figured he was getting desperate for cash after seeing the Facebook pleas for $25 donations and the first 2000 get their name on something. $50K doesn't go very far.

I think this is BS anyway. He was supposed to run his entire campaign without taking any donations, because he's so rich! How'd that work out?

It takes two to tango, and demanding the last word is kind of childish. Just stop.

I realize I am something of a pariah in this thread because of my stated intention to vote for Trump even though I hope he loses, but I have found Tony and phiwum's OT bantering to be quite entertaining--at least they've helped to distract me from what a bad person I am. Restricting discussion here to reasoned demonstration of Donald's unsuitability for office seems a bit redundant at this point.

Your something of a pariah because voting for a dangerous demagogue as a sort of protest vote is a stupid thing to do. The is how people like Hitler come to power, frankly.

Wonder how much of a boost Trump will get from the email investigation being reopened

It depends on the speed of this investigation. So far it's just "looking at emails". If there isn't anything further from the FBI until after the election then I doubt it will last longer than a news cycle and won't make much movement in the polls.

Thats how democracy works. Cancel the vote out with your vote for clinton

Not enough to change the outcome. It's not like this suddenly makes Trump less of a loony-toon. His base is cheering loudly. The rest of the country, I doubt it will make much of a difference. The Pubbies are of course drooling over it.

I agree. I hope nobody else is considering following suit.
