Well, actually, support for Trump is a deliberate choice, not a condition of birth. So when someone deliberately embraces a vile POS, it's kinda hard to pretend he's not showing us who he is.

You're completely missing the point. I suppose you were just looking for a way to ignore that point, and came up with this. The point, obviously, is that you can't draw conclusions about some people based on the actions of other people. Stop treating people as groups rather than individuals.

He's not proposing that. He's proposing that you draw conclusions about some people based on their conscious choices. One does not choose to be born black. One rationalizes and thinks through one's political choices. If that choice is someone who you have difficulty in conceiving as a good choice or even a good person, then terming those people as reprehensible, deplorable, disgusting - depending on your passion for the topic - is not the same as knee-jerk dismissal of someone for their race, sex or gender.

Lest we think that's a random day and an unfair comparison, I could have used Sunday the 23rd..... Trump = 1 stop, Pence = 0 stops (probably has to do the talk shows 'cuz Donnie Crassco is a-skeered). The Hillary juggernaut has, including fundraisers* 13 stops. Of those stops, one is that nice niggra fella in the White House,

*These ain't all minor. Barnie Frank hosting two of them. Salma Hayek hosting another. I know I'd show up to grab her, uh, opinions.


And it's not just that the Clinton team does a better job of publicizing their events. THERE ARE NO SURROGATES OUT THERE ORGANIZING TRUMP-FREE FUNDRAISERS or rallies.

I am good buddies with the man who portrays Emperor Norton at Victorian era living history events in the San Francisco Bay Area. I usually wear my CIvil War era Union Officer's uniform to these events and am careful to render The Emperor a full salute....which US Army officers station at the Presidio actually did, going along with the joke like everybody else in San Francisco.

Yet Trump is too shrewd a man not to understand at some level what a really crap campaign he has run. To understand that the way he has turned on Hillary Clinton, whom eight years ago he called "a friend" and said she'd make "a great president," make him look like a two-faced, opportunistic jerk.

I don't know what he was thinking. Did he think if he played the heavy, if his campaign rhetoric was based mostly on the kinds of things middle-aged conservative white men tell each other in bars when they've had a few drinks, that somehow this would create a avalanche of support which he could ride right into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

In another sense it's not all that shocking that he badly miscalculated. Like he did with the USFL, Trump Shuttle, Atlantic City. In fact you could say Trump has made a career out of getting it wrong. :(

He opened himself to be being sued for defamation by calling them liars during his rant at the rally today. They can use the Access Hollywood tape as evidence against him should they decide to sue.

The other interesting thing is that although I am not sure of the legal status,a sitting President bringing suit against a private citizen in a private action is I think unprecedented in US legal history. Maybe a defacto admission he is going to lose is starting to dawn on Donnie.
